Chapter 20: Second Soul Skill - Tyrant Dragon Fist
"Fight if you dare! Do you think we're afraid of you? By the time I'm finished, even your own mother won't be able to recognize you!" Xiao Wu taunted boldly, her confidence born from six years of playing the role of the eldest sister.
Tang San frowned slightly and advised, "Xiao Wu, you're a girl, you should be mindful of your words."
"Hahaha, well said, Xiao Wu!" Qi Ling laughed heartily.
"Not only won't his mother recognize him, but neither will his grandmother!"
"Alright, Four-Eyes, show me what you've got!" Xiao Wu continued, pressing the insult.
Dai Mubai's expression darkened as he took great offense. "What did you just call me? Four-Eyes? I'll make you regret that! White Tiger, possession!"
Having four pupils was a unique trait Dai Mubai had always taken pride in.
No one had ever dared to insult him so directly, and his fury ignited as he summoned his martial spirit.
A bright white light enveloped his body, and he transformed into a towering, humanoid tiger, exuding an aura of intimidating power.
Three spirit rings materialized at Dai Mubai's feet two yellow and one purple indicating his rank as a Spirit Elder.
"Third spirit ability: White Tiger Vajra Transformation!" Dai Mubai roared, activating the power of his thousand-year-old spirit ring.
"Come on, show me your martial spirit! I'll make you pay for those words!" Dai Mubai challenged.
"Do you really want to see my martial spirit? I'm afraid you might be disappointed," Qi Ling teased.
"After all, it wouldn't look good to beat up a senior on our first day at school."
"Hmph! So, you're here to join Shrek Academy!" Dai Mubai realised.
"Fine, if you can actually beat me, I'll waive the entrance exam and let you in directly!"
"Haha, thanks for the offer, senior!" Qi Ling grinned.
"Alright then, here's my martial spirit!"
As Qi Ling activated the Divine Dragon Soul Seal on his right hand, a powerful and domineering aura surged forth, causing everyone around to instinctively take a step back.
Tang San watched Qi Ling's imposing figure with a tinge of envy.
No matter how strong he became, he knew he could never match his elder brother's innate charisma and commanding presence.
Dai Mubai, too, was taken aback by the overwhelming aura that radiated from Qi Ling.
He could feel an unease he had never experienced before, and it unsettled him deeply.
"Hmph, your Divine Dragon Sovereign spirit is indeed impressive.
No wonder you dare to challenge me!" Dai Mubai admitted grudgingly.
"But it's a pity you're only a two-ring Spirit Grandmaster, while I'm a three-ring Spirit Elder! With the power of my thousand-year spirit ring, you're no match for me!"
Qi Ling shook his head with a wry smile.
"A thousand-year spirit ring? Is that supposed to be impressive?"
As he spoke, two spirit rings appeared at Qi Ling's feet one yellow, one purple.
Dai Mubai stared at Qi Ling's thousand-year spirit ring in disbelief.
"How is this possible?! You only have two spirit rings, but one of them is a thousand-year ring!"
Tang San smiled to himself, remembering how everyone reacted the same way whenever they saw Qi Ling's spirit rings.
Even their teacher, Yu Xiaogang, had been stunned, almost doubting his years of research when he first saw it.
In the end, Yu Xiaogang had no choice but to attribute Qi Ling's abilities to the unique nature of his martial spirit.
"Get ready, Dai Mubai! Take my punch!" Qi Ling declared. "If you can still stand afterward, I'll admit defeat!"
"Arrogant fool! First spirit ability: White Tiger Barrier!" Dai Mubai activated his first spirit ring, summoning a white protective shield around his body.
"Come on then, let's see how you, a mere Spirit Grandmaster, can bring down a Spirit Elder like me!"
"Alright, but be warned this won't be easy! Second soul skill: Tyrant Dragon Fist!"
Qi Ling's purple second spirit ring glowed brightly as he channelled its power into his right fist, creating a suffocating wave of spirit energy that filled the air.
As Qi Ling continued to compress his soul power, the pressure became immense, causing the surrounding buildings to groan under the strain.
Qi Ling's second spirit ring came from a three-thousand-year-old One-Horned Dragon Rhinoceros, a spirit beast known for its unstoppable charges. While it couldn't change direction mid-attack, its impact was unparalleled—capable of overwhelming even ten-thousand-year-old soul beasts.
The Tyrant Dragon Fist embodied this unstoppable force, concentrating all of Qi Ling's soul power into a single, devastating punch that could amplify his attack strength forty-fold.
As Qi Ling launched his punch, for the first time, Dai Mubai felt a pang of regret.
'Why did I provoke this monster?'
'Who could possibly withstand such a punch?'
'Not even the academy's teachers would dare to block it, right?'
'Am I going to die here? I still have such an important mission,I can't die now!'
Dai Mubai's thoughts raced, and he wondered if he was seeing his life flash before his eyes.
Then came the pain, real and intense.
His chest caved in under the impact of Qi Ling's punch, and his body was hurled backward like a ragdoll, crashing through the hotel wall with a thunderous boom.
The onlookers inside the hotel were stunned.
They hadn't even seen Qi Ling throw the punch, they only saw Dai Mubai being sent flying as if struck by an invisible force.
"Phew!" Qi Ling exhaled, looking at the gaping hole in the wall.
"Looks like I used a bit too much force,I hope I didn't kill him."
Everyone rushed outside to find Dai Mubai, eventually locating him in a shop across the street.
Judging by the massive hole in the wall, he must have been launched from one side of the street to the other.
After a long moment, Dai Mubai finally regained consciousness.
Realising he was still alive, he forced himself to stand and approached Qi Ling, bowing respectfully.
"Thank you for holding back.
I, Dai Mubai, always keep my word, this room is yours."
Dai Mubai knew full well that if Qi Ling had used his full strength, he would be dead.
The fact that he was still standing meant Qi Ling had shown mercy.
"You're not bad yourself, a true Spirit Elder!" Qi Ling praised him with a smile.
"I was aiming to put you in bed for a month with that punch, but it looks like you're not too badly injured."
"How about it? Want me to throw another punch?"
