Log Entry 2 ~ 1/1/55
Happy New Year! Sorry, I know it's been a week since I write something and that we are meant to update these everyday to give humanity the best understanding of time travel, but why would I need to do it before I leave? There really isn't any point to be honest. I've been super busy with all the preparation which we all realised we'd been a stupid in not realising we'd been secretly getting ready for months. Brian said he only made the big announcement so late because he thought we were smart enough to figure out what was happening. I guess not. Earth is really lucky that these 15 extremely smart people are travelling back in time, huh? Well, it's not our fault, Brian was the one who chose us for the "expedition" as he started calling it a while back. As well as having to prepare everything for the trip, we have had about 20 interviews a day. These were meant to be short, we were promised, but guess what? Each went on for about 15 minutes, which doesn't sound so bad, but we have things to do rather than talk to you people! Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not really going to miss this Earth. With the state this ones in (with global warming and all) I'm quite excited to go back to the simpler times where we won't have to worry too much about the state of the Earth. Huh, maybe I'll just end up staying back there. Today, a very worrying thought appeared in my head. Each of the 15 of us has a different role at the 'takeoff' and the 'landing'. Now I completely trust my crew members but John has been chosen to verify that we are going back to 1939. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but John's deciding which year we are going back to. One mistake and we might not be getting back... I can't think about it to much though, we are leaving tomorrow so I'll just have to trust him. Wait a second, have I not already mentioned that we're leaving tomorrow? Well then, WE ARE LEAVING TOMORROW!! Here is a list of the things I will miss. (Gotta make it short, I have to go soon)
1. Brian
2. Coffee
3. Modern Tech
And... yep, that's it! So next time I say I might not be coming back, don't take it as joke..... I'm kidding! (I think)
Signing off,
Commander Moore
(Doesn't that sound fancy? We're all commanders now!)
