The man, livid with rage, charged at Eloise Torres, his eyes bloodshot.

With a leap, he lunged at her, grabbing her by the collar, and landed a dozen fierce slaps on her face.

"Slap–" "My dad was still breathing until you went in with your needles, and now he's gone."

"Slap–" "Are you going to deny that it was your treatment that killed him?"

Eloise's head was spinning from the blows. Archie Dawn, seeing his wife being assaulted, tried to intervene, but the man turned his rage on him too, hitting him with a few slaps.

Eloise bellowed like a fishwife: "How dare you hit me?"

"You have the audacity to hit me?"

"Your father was already in dire health, and it's his own damn fault that he's dead, what's that got to do with me?"

"He was old and suffered a stroke, he was already at death's door. I generously tried to save him. If I failed, what right do you have to hit me?"
