Capítulo 28: Hidden Feelings

The room fell into an akward silent for a couple of minutes as the two continue to stare at each other.

"Where is the changing area?" Olive finally asked, prompting Lucas to give a confused expression.

"Why do we need to do that? We're both guys, so you can change right here." Lucas replied with a serious tone. " Stop behaving like I'm inside the room with a girl." he added as he rolled his eyes.

"I don't want to. You might be gay, but I'm not!" Olive said, anger evident in his voice.

"And how many times do I have to tell you that I'm not gay? And even if I were, you're not my type, so just leave me alone." Lucas yelled, his face showing his frustration. "Besides, didn't your brother reveal that you're gay while at your house?"

"Then step out for a moment while I change. I don't feel comfortable changing in the room with you around."Olive said with a frown, further fueling Lucas's anger as he placed his hand on his waist in frustration. "And I'm not gay, my brother is just talking nonsense."

"Arthur, you're quite something! Fine, I'll step out. I'm not interested in staring at your skinny body anyway," Lucas said before storming out and giving the big silver door a loud bang.

Olive breathed a sigh of relief as soon as Lucas left. Without hesitation, she quickly took off her stained white sweater and changed into Lucas's new one.

She then went to the door and opened it, revealing the angry Lucas. "I'm done! You can come in now," she said.

Lucas rolled his eyes in anger and entered the room while Olive shut the door behind him.

"We should start practicing now," Olive suggested as she settled down on the floor, with Lucas bringing out his system and some books to join her.

The two spent the rest of the day in the room preparing for the debate competition and eventually decided to call it a day.

"Who would have thought you could be quite brilliant? I thought the only thing you're good at is bullying," Olive said with a burst of laughter.

"That's rude! Lucas said with a frown. How could you assume that the mighty Lucas of Belmont is just a bully and a dullard?"

"Sorry, but that was my initial impression of you." Olive replied, swallowing hard and keeping her gaze fixed on Lucas.

"Please stop. It's not funny, and I want you to know that I excel not only in academics but also in singing and playing the piano." Lucas revealed with a deep sigh.

"Really?" Olive asked excitedly, moving closer to Lucas. "Can you sing a song now, and where is the piano? You can play it while you sing. I also play the piano, but I don't have one of my own."

"I've lost my talent for both since my twin sister passed away. Sometimes I sing while she plays the piano, or I play the piano while she sings." Lucas said, forcing a smile despite the sadness in his heart. "Her voice was angelic."

"I'm sorry about your sister. I'm sure you have many cherished memories together." Olive said, gazing at Lucas. "She wouldn't want you to dwell on the pain but to hold onto the memories you shared."

"I know, right? I'm just trying to let you know that no one can get me to sing or play the piano except for my sister," Lucas revealed with a soft laugh. "Crazy, right?" he asked as he gazed into Olive's eyes.

"No, it's not crazy. It's your choice, and I respect that!" Olive replied with a smile, meeting Lucas's gaze. The two teenagers soon began moving their heads closer, their gazes locked as they tried to make their lips meet.

Ping!

"Oh my goodness!" Olive exclaimed as her body flinched, prompting her to come back to her senses and move away from Lucas. She then glanced at her phone, which revealed her mother to be the one calling.

"Oh yes! It's time to go home. Everyone is waiting for me," Olive said as she stood up immediately, followed by Lucas. "See you tomorrow, I guess."

"Yes, the driver will drop you off, and yeah, see you tomorrow," Lucas replied, swallowing hard.

"I'll make sure I dry clean this and give it back to you," Olive said as she touched Lucas's sweater on her body. "Alright, take care!" she added with a smile, while Lucas nodded in agreement and watched her exit his room.

He then moved to his window to still get a sight of Olive.

"Yeah, see you tomorrow, Arthur," Lucas murmured to himself as he gazed out the window, waving his hand even though Olive didn't see him, watching as she entered the black jeep and drive out of the mansion.

___

Olive arrived at her house and stepped out of the jeep. She thanked the chauffeur with a slight bow and watched as the jeep drove off before heading inside.

"Did you plan on living at the George mansion forever? You're not married yet, young lady!" Mrs. Williams was the first to speak when Olive walked in.

"How are you, darling? Did you have a good day? Did you get to practice your debate and rugby?" Mr. Williams asked, sitting on the sofa with a concerned look.

"Yes, Father. Today went well," Olive replied, addressing only her father's question.

"When did you buy a new sweater? I don't remember seeing this one before. It looks quite expensive though," Peter commented as he approached Olive, examining the sweater and feeling its quality. "Where did you get money to buy something this expensive?"

"Yes, it's expensive but I didn't buy it. It belongs to Lucas," Olive explained as she settled onto the sofa.

Mrs. Williams was taken aback, almost choking on her water. Her eyes widened in shock as she stared at Olive.

"What's wrong, Mom?" Olive asked, noticing her mother's intense gaze.

"How could you, Olive? You two aren't even married yet. Why would you do that?" Mrs. Williams asked, her voice filled with anger as she approached Olive.

"What do you mean, Mother? What did I do?" Olive asked, looking confused.

"Why did you sleep with Lucas?" Mrs. Williams demanded, her voice and expression filled with anger as she hit Olive on her shoulder.
