"I met him. I met him here." Anna said, shocking her cousin. 

He is stunned by the sudden revelation that he couldn't speak for a while. Only after composing himself, he started to understand the reasons for some of the unreasonable and lame actions taken by his extremely practical and pragmatic grandfather. 

"Now, I understand why grandfather never allowed you to contact your paternal family. It is because of your ex, right?" 

"As he is from the same place as your paternal family, you might cross paths with him if you are in contact with your other side of the family." 

"That is why grandfather concealed every news related to your paternal family and made sure that you never reached out to them."

"But when your paternal grandparents died, you left in a hurry and that time grandfather's health was not good and he was unconscious. Everyone was busy so they didn't manage to notice your absence."
