Lenny's vision returned to normal. 

He understood what had just happened. he had just been given the privilege to see through Baroness Everbee's eyes. In fact, it was more than just that. He had been able to feel her pain, wants and even desires. 

This had been possible because of the core that he digested. Once a person was capable of forming a core, it becomes the center of their being. 

Of course, it does not carry all the memories of the individual, carrying only memories that had to do with intense emotional moments. However, it was still a well of information.

lenny looked at the baroness that was now a meat shaped goblet. In her disastrously deformed form, lenny could tell that she was still alive. 

From what appeared to be her eyes, a few drops of tears fell.
