"What do you think you are doing!?" She started yelling at him as soon as he entered the room. 

"I think I should be the one asking you this." He gritted his teeth trying to keep himself calm as he closed the door behind him. 

He didn't want to get indulged in any kind drama with her at the moment and have his parents involved as usual. On the other hand, she was ready to spill the beans and gather their sympathies. In fact, her staying in that house as his wife was the result of those tactics more than the actual matter.
