On a somber evening, Kaden sat next to the window with a small parchment in his hands. With shaking hands, he poured a goblet of wine and held it to his lips. Thoughts and feelings invaded him as he glanced out the window at the small patched fire burning in the distance.
It has been eight days now since his best friend Deric had usurped the throne. But nothing has changed for the better. The kingdom still has yet to accept the young ruler, so his coronation ceremony was postponed. After three days of cleaning, the throne room was finally cleaned of blood stains.
