Capítulo 13: chapter 13
Len walks into the kitchen, she sees Ari leaning against the counter and she walks over beside her.
" I've been waiting on you, I didn't know if you still wanted me to stay the night with you. Taylor is still up in our room talking to Thea and Ashley now" Len said while scooting closer to Ari, she lays her hand on top of hers and when the door that leads to the garage opens she jumped.
" HA Ha I guess I scared you" Aris dad said laughing, even Ari laughed a little at her reaction. Len puffed out her cheeks and crossed her arms, Ari felt like wrapping her arms around her.
" here's the keys my honey bun" Jack said while hugging his daughter, Aris face was now blood red because of her father. He looks at his daughter with a sad smile and kisses her cheek.
" your mom is having a hard time with what she saw, it just doesn't sound like what was seen and also she kept saying it was kalae " Jack said looking at Ari her face paled at what he said, her heart started beating fast and she quickly walked away from them heading up the stairs to her mothers room.
Ari knocks on the door and got no answer from her, she gently opens the door and felt for the light switch on the wall.
When the lights flicked on she doesn't see her mother anywhere in the room and looks under the bed. She glanced around the room and walks over to the closet door, she takes a deep breath and opens the door.
" mom it's me Ari come on out so we can talk" Ari said while reaching out her hand to her mother who is on the closet floor. Her mother shakily reaches for her daughters hand and comes out of the closet.
" I know your scared about all of this and I promise we'll take care of one another if something comes." Ari said while holding her mom listening to her sobbing on her shoulder while she rubbed her back.
" it was Kalae at the window I almost let her in, I stepped up to it and I wondered how she got up here when we are on the fifth floor. I even asked her, when she laughed I saw the large fangs in her mouth and when our eyes met again hers was a blood red color. Then she started talking about you, how she loves you and how that mistake cost her everything. She said she'll be with you again at any cost, then the young man next door started with his loud music and she disappeared from the window. He's the one I always complained about to you and Kalae, well the music stopped and the screaming started. I could hear everything, him begging for his life and her laughing at him. I could hear growling coming from his room, after ten to fifteen minutes she came back to the window. She had blood covering her mouth, she smiled at me and told me that I can rest peacefully tonight. I then noticed her hand gripping tightly in hair, when I looked down I seen the mans head and then she tosses it behind her. She said that she'll watch over us all and that she loves us, she said she's in love with you and no matter what she will protect us. I started to zone out, my world started to turn, I love Kalae I even remember when you all met in grade school became inseparable. I was so happy when you two started dating in high school and I seen how happy you two were together. I felt like I got him killed, I also feel that Kalae is still in there and I want to help her, but I'm to scared" Mave said while hugging her daughter tightly, she hasn't slept in two days and now while safely beside her daughter her eyes started feeling heavy. Ari layed her mother down on the bed, she tucked her under the blanket.
(" no Kalae is one of them, but she still spoke and looks normal, well except for her teeth and eyes. Dammit they were going to her in the morning, I have to find her") Ari thought to herself exiting the room, she quickly goes toward her room and stops at Theas.
" can I talk to you for a minute please" Ari said to Thea while pointing to her room, before she walks away. Thea walks out of her room to follow Ari into hers, Ari was pulling out a few outfits and putting them in a small bag, she turns to Thea.
" I have to go look for someone I'll leave in a couple of hours I need you to get her and that boy to show you where they are going. I have her parents address, but she might look other places I dont know of." Ari said while grabbing a few things, she walks to the door and looks back at Thea.
" just tell her you'd feel better knowing or suggest routes on a map" Ari said handing over a map to her, the map didnt feel like regular paper.
" make sure she keeps that map and have her at least mark a route, make sure to lead her away from crowded streets" Ari said then walks away, Thea stood there staring at the map and walks in the room to wait on Len.
A few minutes later Len walks past the door to knock on Aris door and Thea quickly goes to the door stopping Len first.
" Len we need to talk before you leave, I need to know some routes to make sure you don't go through crowded areas, if not I'll go with you." Thea said while Len rolls her eyes and walks into the room with Thea, they go over to a dresser where Thea spreads out a map of the city. They worked on the routes for over an hour until they had marked a few routes that Len planned on going, Evelyn found out about Ari knowing about Kalae and she made a plan to go get the things they need also to take Len to get her family along with the young man's family.
