"What are you doing here?" I asked with only a cursory glance her way, before leaving the door open and walking back inside.
She followed me, accepting the invitation and at once filling the space with her scent. A subtle savor of a floral blend, the comforting rich fragrance of vanilla and an intoxicating tinge of vetiver. It had an evocative touch to it, that recollected happier days, almost like the fresh and briny redolence of the sea breeze.
Regrettably, I allowed myself to seek solace in that previous warmth her presence emitted and I knew then that deep down I was still entangled in her web which irked me to even think about.
"The charity function," she replied briskly before sitting at the edge of the king sized bed, directly beside where I stood with the clothes before me.
