Capítulo 53: Chapter 52

Ra's al Ghul obviously knew it. He knew that the Batman in front of him was Bruce Wayne, and he had even burned down Wayne Manor before.

Last time, he didn't kill Bruce because Bruce had saved his life, so this time he let Bruce fend for himself as well.

The result? Bruce didn't die. He came back, determined to stop Ra's.

"Do you think you can stop me just because you've brought help?" Ra's shouted maniacally. "You're too naïve! This should end, but it's Gotham that must be destroyed, a city beyond saving!"

Kara wasn't happy hearing that. She hadn't planned on getting involved in Gotham's chaos, but there was absolutely no reason for her to be underestimated either.

"You go take him out," Kara said, glancing at Ra's. "I'll deal with the rest."

She wasn't here to steal Bruce's thunder, but Kara also didn't take kindly to being disrespected.

Ra's seemed to look down on her. Kara placed her hands on her hips and tilted her head with a mocking grin, "Is that all you've got? Just these minions?"

Ra's clapped his hands, and suddenly, about a dozen more warriors appeared behind him. Along with those already present, there were about twenty members of the League of Shadows.

These warriors were all highly trained, proficient in martial arts, ninjutsu, and other forms of combat. They were deadly.

Bruce gave Kara a sideways glance and sighed, "Did you really have to provoke him?"

Even though these warriors had been lying in wait, ready to attack, Kara's taunt seemed to make the situation worse.

Ra's sneered at them both. "They will bring me your heads. When that happens, you'll witness the fall of Gotham, though you won't live long enough to see the full extent of it."

With that, he calmly turned and climbed onto the train's carriage, preparing to leave. He intended to use the microwave emitter on the train to vaporize the toxins already present in Gotham's water system, ensuring the city's destruction.

"You go after him. Leave the rest to me," Kara said, taking charge of the heavier task before Bruce could protest.

"Can you handle this?" Bruce asked, concerned. He knew how dangerous the League of Shadows could be.

Kara just smirked. "Isn't that why you brought me along? Relax. I wouldn't be here if I didn't think I could do it."

Bruce hesitated briefly but saw the train about to leave and nodded. "Be careful. Don't do anything reckless."

As Bruce moved to jump toward the train, two of Ra's' warriors drew their katanas, ready to intercept him.

"Shua."

But before they could react, two sharp projectiles flew past Bruce, one on each side. Out of the corner of his eye, Bruce realized they were his bat-shaped throwing stars.

"Puff."

The two warriors fell backward, their heads pierced clean through by the projectiles. Bruce, in motion, glanced at the fallen bodies. Kara had grabbed his throwing stars at some point and used them with deadly precision.

Kara casually stood with her arms crossed, the remaining stars clutched in her hands as she gave the League of Shadows a challenging look.

Her technique had been so swift and lethal that even the elite warriors hadn't seen her move. The stars had buried themselves so deeply into the warriors' skulls that they almost pierced through.

Kara raised her chin and mocked the group, "So? Who's next? You'll have to get through me if you want to stop him."

Bruce took the opportunity to jump onto the train, and none of the warriors dared to stop him. They were frozen, feeling as if they were being hunted by a predator, instinctively sensing that any movement could lead to their doom.

The League members exchanged uneasy glances.

The situation had reached a stalemate. They knew Kara had only a limited number of throwing stars, but who would dare make the first move? Whoever did would surely die.

"It seems like your so-called League of Shadows isn't as impressive as I thought," Kara taunted. "For all your talk of justice and saving the world, you can't even handle this?"

Some of the warriors looked as if they wanted to respond, but Kara cut them off. "Come on!" she shouted. "Aren't you going to kill me? I'm standing right here! If you don't kill me, I'll make sure to kill you."

Her continuous mockery pushed them over the edge. One warrior finally shouted, "Attack!"

The rest drew their katanas in unison, charging forward.

But Kara was faster.

She had been goading them, acting reckless and loud, but when it was time to fight, her demeanor changed. She became cold and focused, putting away the throwing stars.

In one fluid motion, she leaped forward, her black cape billowing behind her like wings.

Kara landed in the middle of the League members and immediately launched her attack.

"North Kick," she muttered as her right leg became a blur, striking one warrior in the side of the waist.

Her movements were smooth and precise, like an expert martial artist. She followed up with another powerful kick to the ribs of a second warrior, sending him flying before he could even react.

"Crack."

The sickening sound of bones breaking filled the air.

"Thud."

The second warrior collapsed, dead before he hit the ground.

Kara stood amidst the fallen bodies, barely breaking a sweat. The remaining warriors hesitated, realizing they had underestimated her.

"Who's next?" she asked, her eyes cold and her voice dripping with challenge.
