Capítulo 90: Chapter 90 Heavy Fists Like Cannons! Shredder Seeks His Defeat!

Anton turned his head toward George, slightly surprised.

He hadn't expected George to extend an invitation on behalf of the NYPD for the turtles to join the Task Force.

However, from George perspective, it was probably the best move for the police force to adapt.

Lately, New York had been overwhelmed with an endless stream of enemies and incidents.

The NYPD Task Force was originally established to combat criminals and underground organizations like The Foot Clan.

But ever since the Lizard incident, the Task Force had not only been outmaneuvered repeatedly but had also taken significant hits to their operational effectiveness, often facing these "monsters."

Against ordinary gangs, the Task Force boasted an impressive record.

But when confronted with abnormal threats—like the Green Goblin or Shredder, both clad in formidable armor—they were utterly unprepared.

And with the emergence of the Lizard and now the turtles, George couldn't guarantee that a Rhino Man or even an Ant Man wouldn't show up next.

In any case, these individuals' combat abilities far exceeded the NYPD understanding of criminals.

To be honest, George had pushed the Task Force equipment to its limit, yet it was almost useless against these extraordinary foes.

If it weren't for Batman consistent support, George might have been forced to resign long ago due to the mounting crises.

Inviting the turtles to join the NYPD Task Force.

Though the idea came to George suddenly, he was quite serious about it.

He knew Batman was an untouchable figure who wouldn't join the police force.

Spider-Man seemed just as unavailable—likely too busy. Judging by his physique, which was far from matching his strength, he was probably a scrawny high school kid struggling with homework!

As for Venom... he looked too scary. His appearance alone would frighten people, so he wasn't an option.

That left the turtles.

From their recent fight against Shredder, George had observed their strong will and conviction. These turtles were undoubtedly on the side of justice.

Despite it being only their second encounter, George found himself genuinely admiring them.

"I won't decide for them," Anton said after a brief pause. "But I don't think they'll refuse your invitation."

The turtles had grown up in the dark, filthy sewers.

Their yearning for human acceptance and the freedom to live openly in society was something most people couldn't begin to imagine.

Living a life of hiding, only venturing out during Halloween parades to disguise themselves as "citizens dressed as turtles," wasn't ideal.

In the original story, the turtles accepted this way of life, but it didn't mean it was what they truly wanted.

They must have dreamed of walking under the sun, strolling down crowded streets, and meeting the gaze of passersby.

Whether those gazes were curious, astonished, or disdainful didn't matter.

For anyone, standing openly in the sunlight was always preferable to living in a dark place where the sun never shone.

"And one more thing…"

Anton thought for a moment and added, "Even if they agree, you'll still need to convince someone else. Though I doubt he'll stand in your way."

"Who?" George asked, puzzled.

"A rat," Anton replied. "You'll meet him when the fight over."

Another rat-person?!

Good lord, what happening to this world?!

George felt his head buzzing. Everything he had just imagined seemed on the verge of coming true.

...

While they spoke, the battle between the turtles and Shredder reached a fever pitch.

The turtles were throwing everything they had into the fight, using every ounce of their strength to take down Shredder.

But Shredder wasn't an easy opponent. Despite his bulky samurai armor, his movements remained agile. The blades on his arms, enhanced with magnetic mechanisms, could return to him like boomerangs after being thrown.

The turtles, worn out from Shredder relentless attacks, finally devised a strategy to counter his samurai armor. They targeted the joints, aiming to either damage or jam the internal mechanisms of the armor movement system.

Leonardo, wielding his katana, wedged it into the joint at Shredder knee, locking his arm range of motion.

Meanwhile, Raphael climbed onto Shredder back, driving his twin sai into Shredder shoulders.

Donatello and Michelangelo focused their attacks on the vulnerable areas around Shredder ribs.

BOOM!

Shredder was finally subdued.

"Mere turtles!"

Clenching his fists, Shredder twisted his body with all his strength, flinging the turtles off of him.

At the same time, his armor began to emit ominous creaks and groans.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

The joints that had been damaged by the katana and sai were now showing visible cracks.

The internal movement system of the armor was jammed, significantly slowing Shredder movements.

Momentarily immobilized, Shredder ignored his declining state and used the opportunity to glare at Batman, who stood a short distance away, still observing.

"Your turn!"

A feral grin appeared on Shredder face beneath his samurai helmet.

He only thought about action, never about failure.

BANG!

The ground beneath him cracked open, forming a deep crater with spiderweb-like fissures spreading outward.

The turtles, who had been thrown aside, gasped in shock.

But instead of worrying, they began silently mourning Shredder decision.

Why couldn't he just stick to fighting them?

Did he really have to go looking for more punishment?

Sure, if he were still at his peak, it might make sense, but his samurai armor was practically falling apart. What was he even thinking?

With a powerful stomp, Shredder launched himself into the air.

As he ascended, the scattered blades on the ground returned to their positions on his arms. From above, he descended with immense force, aiming straight for Batman standing next to George.

George expression changed slightly.

But since Batman stood still beside him, completely unbothered, George felt it would be inappropriate to retreat.

He stood frozen, eyes wide as Shredder closed in, an unstoppable force like a boulder rolling down a hill.

The whistling of Shredder blades slicing through the air combined with his furious, powerful shouts, creating an invisible web of intimidation that seemed to ensnare everyone present—turtles, George, Task Force members, and even Anton in his Batman guise.

In that split second, Anton clenched his fist and shifted his stance slightly.

Feeling the gust of wind from Shredder swinging blades, he aimed for the connection between Shredder helmet and upper armor—the vulnerable neck area.

With a punch like a cannonball, he unleashed his strike.

BAM!!

The force of the punch seemed to shift the air itself, slamming directly into Shredder neck.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Everyone present thought they heard the sound of bones dislocating from Shredder body.

In the next instant, Shredder armored body flew sideways like a ragdoll, crashing through the wall of the first-floor lobby. His body was buried under piles of shattered bricks.

After this, the entire room fell into a deathly silence.
