Capítulo 25: Omens II

The carnotaurus glared at the three brutes, they were massive compared to her. The clan they were from was hard to tell, but she knew full well that they were not friendly. The little rex remained close to her, it was shivering due to fear.

The giganotosaurus clearly were looking for fun, that or they were really bored. Either way she didn't like the situation that she was in. No point talking to them either, from the look of their smiles they were in the mood to hurt and likely kill.

She was slowly recovering from that hit, it really made her head spin.

"Why would a young one be out all by herself?", spoke a haunting voice that occurred behind the three giganotosaurus.

The three brutes looked back and bowed their heads to a large beast, he walked toward her rather slowly. The many bones that dangled from the giant was rather gruesome, only cause there was still blood on the bones.

The carnotaurus looked up at him in silence, the little rex behind her was beyond terrified by the giant. "I'm on my way to Bellowing Heights.", replied the carnotaurus quite confidently. She showed no fear.

"Ah, and what will you do when you get there?", replied the giant with blood red eyes.

He was a large beast, he was a rex or so she could tell. The only difference was that he had three claws, and had some kind of allosaurus like crests over both eyes. She honestly didn't know what he was. "I'm going there to see if any of my clan survived.", she replied standing tall with her eyes narrowed.

The giant shook his head, he made the three brutes look sort of tiny. "Oh what a shame. I am sorry to hear of your loss."

She didn't trust him, the bones that hung off him were just uncomfortable. He had armor on throughout his massive body, he had a dilophosaurus like skull upon his chest like some kind of chest piece. "In that case you should join my clan, we are sure to take care of you and the little one."

The carnotaurus felt a awful vibe, the markings on both of his shoulders were ominous. The markings look like skulls with blood pouring out of the eyes. She looked at the little rex who was petrified. That was enough of a answer to her. "Thank you but I have to refuse. I want to see if anyone is there."

The giant's red eyes looked at her like he could see into her soul, "Very well, allow me to escort you there."

The carnotaurus looked like she was thinking about what to say, why did he show kindness to her. It made no sense, and if it didn't make sense that just meant that something was clearly going to happen.

"If you're going to escort me I need a name.", she said this while never taking her eyes off of him.

"Goliath.", replied the beast with a eerie grin.

The carnotaurus nodded as she softly picked up the little rex, as she took three steps did he speak. "What about your name?"

She looked at him in a glance, should she tell him her name. Every fiber of her being told her not too.

"Stripes.", she spoke up clearly making up a name. She just hoped he'd take it.

Goliath grinned as he followed after her, he chuckled lowly. "I like your nickname."

The carnotaurus kept walking while holding the little rex, she didn't trust Goliath. He was up to something.

She really hoped that there were survivors at Bellowing Heights or else Goliath may not let her go. The giant was following her rather closely, the three brutes from earlier were not. Goliath must be the leader of his clan that or something else.

"My clan is a nice place, we take care of our own. I really consider you joining us, Stripes.", spoke Goliath with a strange compassion to his voice.

The carnotaurus didn't know what to make of the situation, but she really hoped that someone was there at Bellowing Heights. The more she thought about it, the more worried she got. What if she was walking into a trap?

She didn't trust him for a second, and the fact that he was being nice really put her on edge. As they got closer to the mountains in the distance, the greater her fear became.

The clan of Bloodmaw made a lot of progress, it was now later in the day. Soon evening would come and right away the night will roll in.

Swiftscale had trained with the youngsters fairly hard, as well as played with Lesion for a little bit. Jr had stopped playing with his brother which was a little saddening for Lesion.

The baryoynx didn't like to see Lesion sad so he kept his promise to Lesion and told him that they could play which of course made Lesion very happy.

Both youngsters were resting now, which was nice to see. Swiftscale blinked as Ebony walked over, she must of waited until he wasn't busy to walk over.

"So when are you going to tell me what Helm said?", asked Ebony with a smile.

"Not now but maybe someday.", replied Swiftscale becoming a little embarrassed.

Ebony sighed impatiently but she smiled, "Okay, you better!"

The baryoynx nodded with a smile before looking at the side, Grim was walking over and that made his blood boil. How many times would Grim do this!

Probably forever which was rather infuriating, but Swiftscale couldn't see him fighting Grim only cause the rex was quite powerful. He could fight him but it probably wouldn't end well, besides they were in a clan.

To have two clan members fight over a female was somewhat childish.

Ebony tilted her head at Swiftscale but she quickly understood as she heard something and saw Grim.

Grim looked at Swiftscale with a hard look, of course Swiftscale returned it right back. Ebony sensing the aura between them frowned, "Seriously!?!"

Swiftscale looked at her startled, Grim snorted loudly in response.

"Grim are you going to keep doing this?", asked Ebony clearly annoyed. "There is such a thing as personal space!"

Swiftscale looked at Ebony surprised, that made his heart skip a beat.

"I can do what I want.", replied Grim looking at her sternly.

Ruby couldn't help but walk over, "Ebony you must understand, brutes do this to who they like." Ruby of course giggled at the three of their expressions.

Swiftscale was as red as blood, Grim looked at Ruby dumbfounded while Ebony made a flushed yet tough girl face.

"Seriously! Jagged didn't do this he just told me flat out!", replied Ebony loudly.

"Boys are different~", giggled Ruby with a motherly smile. "If I had to choose I'd pick the cute one.", she smiled at Swiftscale.

The baryoynx looked at her clearly uncomfortable, Ebony looked at Swiftscale with a large grin. "Wow that is all you have going for you!"

Grim looked at Ebony as he said, "You know how I feel."

Ebony looked at him stunned, Swiftscale on the other hand spoke up in a cracked voice. "I-I...!"

Ruby giggled at the three of them but smiled brightly at Swiftscale. "I love you to Swiftscale~"

Grim blinked suddenly, Ebony looked at Swiftscale in shock. "!?!"

Swiftscale literally screamed, "Ebony it is not what it looks like!?!"

Bloodmaw laughed as he watched them, Helm couldn't help but laugh as well. Dingo looked up in thought, "Why is everyone suddenly in a lovey dovey mood?"

Scarface was trying to sleep but hearing Swiftscale scream suddenly made him look over fast. Gambit couldn't help but snicker, "Our boy be growing up!"

Devastate grumbled under his breath, he was not liking this what so ever. The feelings were to strong, before you know it everyone will die from such suffocating fumes.

Belle smiled big, "Aw! I wish Devastate would be like that with me!"

The behemoth's head shot up as he looked at Belle petrified, hearing this made Gambit laugh loudly. The raptor was hugging his stomach and just dying, Belle looked at Gambit confused.

Grim snorted but blinked when Ebony said, "Look I want to be free to do what I want! I don't need you following me!"

Grim looked down as Ebony said that to him.

Swiftscale froze up before looking at Ebony, she clearly meant her words. That and it was suffocating to have Grim around her all the time.

Grim turned away without a word, Ebony sighed.

Ruby watched the rex walk off before looking at Ebony, "My goodness, I'm glad to see you stand up for yourself. If it were me I would probably struggle."

Ebony looked at Ruby with a smile before looking at Swiftscale who seemed surprised. She told him off! Hallelujah she told him off!?!

The baryoynx covered his face the moment Ebony looked at him. He couldn't hide his joy but he was also worried, Grim would no doubt come after him.

The clan was expecting anything to happen any day now, since Baldur was on the move taking over the different clans. Though they were expecting it, there was still time to laugh and enjoy themselves. Who knows when they will be able to laugh again.

Harmony couldn't help but laugh at everyone, Lockjaw seemed confused. There is no telling what Lockjaw was hearing. As everyone else laughed did they not expect someone was on the move.

In the distance, Smaug was in the water. He had seen to his wounds, the rexes he had killed with Devastate he used to repair his armor that was broken from the fight.

Smaug's pets were fighting over food while he stood in the water. He had thought about the fight with Devastate, that fight was unlike most fights.

To find someone on the same level was as rare as diamonds, not that Smaug saw diamonds as important.

He smirked, he was going to keep his word and train so that the next time he sees Devastate he will beat him for sure. As Smaug thinks about training, he didn't expect to fight someone so soon.

Baldur was walking in the general direction to Bloodmaw's clan. He had heard word that there were clans out in that direction. The chances of finding Bloodmaw's clan was high.

After all he was out to find and destroy all known clans, he enjoyed overpowering them and killing them with ease. The last clan he had destroyed wasn't much of a challenge for him and his clan.

Baldur continued walking leading his clan who seemed eager to fight. The taste of blood was strongly the motivation.

Baldur blinked hearing the sounds of blind beasts, he approached the sound quite curiously. As he walked out did he notice two baryoynx fighting over a fish, what got his attention was the helmets they wore.

Baldur smirked thinking that he had found another clan to destroy, what he didn't expect was to see Smaug standing there alone.

Smaug blinked and looked over, his claws flexed at the trespassers. Never had he seen a creature quite like Baldur, he looked very tough though and that interested Smaug.

Another worthy opponent perhaps?

Both brutes were massive, each had long arms and claws in their arsenal. This was without a doubt a interesting match up.

"Who are you?", spoke Smaug smirking.

Baldur gave a cold grin, "You are looking at your future king."

Smaug snorted loudly as a laugh escaped his lips, he must be joking. Baldur glared at Smaug the moment he heard his laughter.

"I didn't know that.", coldly chuckled Smaug.

Baldur smirked with a greedy fire in his eyes, "I am going to shape the land in my image."

Smaug looked at Baldur clearly not fazed, "I like the land as it is, the last thing we need is kings."

Both of them looked at each other silently, Smaug approached coming closer as he broke the silence. "I don't see you as king material but I do see you as a worthy foe."

Baldur smirked, he looked at his clan before approaching Smaug. "I am going to have to put you in your place. You should be honored."

Baldur's clan moved back, all of them watched with interest. This fight was going to be unlike any other.

Smaug scoffed his expression was not amused, and as he got ready to fight did he pop his neck. Everyone had different reasons for doing the things that they did. Smaug fought to make himself stronger, Baldur fought for him and only him to rule the lands in his image. All that matters now was which reason would win.
