Jr finally spoke up, "Why did father agree to this?"
Swiftscale frowned upon hearing this, "He thinks that it will be beneficial for you both."
Jr looked up at him as he said, "I wanna stop this silly thing from happening!"
Swiftscale made a sound of surprise, he lowered down to the youngster. "You know full well we can't stop this. If we do, it may cause a lot of problems for us."
Jr bared his fangs, he looked down in a strong huff.
Swiftscale looked at him in silence, he looked down looking a little upset. He could never do this to his children, and he couldn't help but feel for every leader out there.
They all had to make the most hardest of decisions as well as sacrifices. How some did it, he didn't know.
The baryoynx softly touched Jr on the head, "Come on let's go work hard in training okay?"
Jr sighed as he nodded, he slowly followed after Swiftscale with his head down.
The world was no doubt changing in such a fast pace. Of course it didn't look like it was changing but it was.
A vast world full of beauty and wonder all tied together in brutality and danger. Though the sun was out, the world still had lethal creatures ready to kill with their greedy teeth and talons.
The clan of Bloodmaw didn't know that Baldur was putting together a clan. A clan that would no doubt change everything.
Death and pain would surely follow as well.
Moving into the heavy forestry, calmly walked Wraith who was going to gather more recruits for a clan. A clan that promises to change the world and how it was run.
She really was onboard with the idea. Why? For obvious reasons.
When she was born, she was with a family. That was rare, to be born and raised in a family. But she was.
Wraith was the second oldest of her brothers and sisters, she had the mutations that she carries now. Her parents she remembered looked at her in judgment and resentment. Wraith was the second oldest but was treated as a runt.
Runts were usually treated badly, they were the last to get food. The parents would feed all of her siblings first, and what was left she ate.
Wraith was not even allowed to play or wrestle with her siblings. From the day she was born she had gotten the first taste of how cruel the world was.
Growing up slowly from her siblings and due to malnutrition was she kicked out of her small family pack by her parents. Her siblings she remembered laughed at her and her mutations as she left her family for good.
Wraith was solid black while her family was a different assortment of colors. She was different and as such she would be treated like that for the rest of her life.
This world was not kind to her either, every day was a living nightmare. She had to teach herself how to live, how to hunt, and how to function with these accursed mutations.
Her dreams were the perfect description of Hell. The laughter, the resentment, the looks of disgust. All of these in her dreams were in the shapes of horrific creatures while she stood in the center of them as they talked about her.
She would cry. She would beg for a chance to be normal. She would even scream to the sky to the so called 'Gods' that many would talk about.
She was awarded with nothing.
Wraith looked downward as she thought about her life. Never in her life did a good thing happen. No one treated her with kindness, they all walked away from her. Leaving her alone in a lonely place.
Becoming a young adult, she was much larger than the other raptors. Her claws upon her feet, and the middle claws on her fingers grew quickly longer.
When these changes happened to her did she about gave up, in honesty she did give up. She attempted to end her life.
Wraith threw herself off of a rather large cliff one day, and she closed her eyes awaiting the final blow that would end her life. At the time she was happy, she wouldn't have to see her ugly disgusting form.
However her body went into a panic, she didn't want to die! Her mind and soul screamed out in desperation!
She remembered that day, her drive to survive outweighed her thoughts on how disgusting she was.
Wraith turned her body to the cliff wall, and she quickly latched on to the walls surface. She was then aware of her strength, and her abilities that was given to her all thanks to these awful mutations.
She also realized that she only had herself to trust.
No one would be there for her, and they will never be.
Wraith looked at her longer than normal middle claws on both of her hands. She stared at them for a long time before looking ahead.
Her mutations were exactly as she saw them. They were evil demonic beings that were glued to her and her soul. She would have to live with them as well.
What was scarier? To her, death was the scariest thing. She didn't want to die, not just yet.
Wraith recalled taking on blind giants by herself, she killed them in deadly precision and speed. She skillfully sliced through other raptors like they were nothing.
She hated her appearance but this power she had, she liked it. This was a mixed relationship. Would she come to love how she looks?
That she doubted. All she wanted was to be normal. But she would never have that wish. She would remain hideous until the very end.
Wraith barely looked back before twisting her body backwards, she skillfully did three perfect backflips before quickly landing on the back of a blind moschops with both of her foot claws.
She looked down at the struggling animal, she reached down grabbing the herbivore by the throat and quickly slitting its jugular with both of her middle claws which rested comfortably upon her hands. The wounds that were on the animals throat were thin but deep lacerations which were very precise.
Wraith got off of the gurgling animal as its life quickly drained from its body. She picked up the slowly dying animal and she carried it under her left arm. She would give this dead animal to those who she was meeting.
Did she trust these individuals. No, she didn't.
She spoke of trusting that brute who spoke of making a clan to change things. But did she mean it? That she would have to wait and see, but she had little faith. It was just hard to say no to a fresh new start. Wraith had never trusted anyone, and she knew that she would never trust anybody else but herself.
Those that she meets, have showed interest in her strength but they didn't like her for herself. No one would accept her, and that was thanks to all of the abuse that she had suffered.
If it was not her family, it was a shallow mate who was only after her mutations. One thing led to another, and that was what made her into what she was today.
She heard it a lot, that anyone and everyone can change but she saw herself as being the only one to never change. If she did change, then she would most likely die.
Wraith stopped after walking a good amount away, those that she was meeting were nearby. This was thanks to her heightened senses.
She honestly felt like she was becoming a demonic being herself and it was thanks to her appearance.
"Do I smell blood?", growled a husky voice.
Wraith barely looked in the direction of the voice, she glanced over at a large brute who was the size of a allosaurus. His body was a light gray but his face and neck were a orange colored red.
"You want it?", spoke Wraith in a rather cold voice.
The brute backed away some, "..."
She was clearly feared by some, that was only cause she could hold her own against a blind rex or other blind giant out there.
"I will give this to you, but you have to do as I say.", responded Wraith as she threw the dead herbivore to the brute that quickly grabbed the body and tore into its flesh.
The brute had already made his decision and would do as she would ask.
"Hurry up I don't got all day.", scoffed Wraith as she walked over to a tree and leaned against the large plant.
She knew that the brute was known as Scarecrow, the other three brutes that she was going to see were different from most creatures here.
Wraith knew that others had mutations just like her, but they were not neglected like she was. She could never relate to others who had mutations, only cause there was different reactions.
It was difficult to relate to others, as well as feel close to anyone.
Scarecrow soon ate his fill of the carcass, there was hardly any meat left. He followed after Wraith curiously as she walked away to meet the others.
One other brute that noticed Wraith was about the size of a spinosaurus, his face was a crimson red but his body was solid black. His head was similar to a ceratosaurus for he had the horn upon his nose but there was a lot of spikes that cover his cranium.
It was strange that some were attracted to her, but they were not that she liked it. After all she was use to doing things alone. If she was alone, she wouldn't have to worry about talk from others.
"I have come to take you guys to a individual who promises to make a clan that will benefit us." Wraith said this while walking away from both brutes.
Scarecrow nodded silently, he looked at the other who chuckled in a dry tone.
The other two she was meeting was a large rex who had black looking quill like feathers upon the back of his neck and went to his tail. The other was like a tank, he had a armored back and tail. His head looked similar to a triceratops with horns but had the mouth like a rex.
Wraith looked at them all before turning around and walking back to the others who are waiting for her return. "Come or don't I don't care. But joining this clan maybe better than walking around like slobs."
Wraith's words were cold and detached as she walked.
Scarecrow followed her, and slowly but surely did the other three follow her.
Wraith didn't look back at any of them, she looked ahead not at all looking back for anything. She didn't care about the past for all that she cared about was the future.
A future where she would change how things are run, and to get back at every single person who hurt her and made her feel like garbage.
Vengeance was such a great motivator.
Scarecrow walked behind her in silence while the other three talked to each other. The rex was known as Thrash due to his incredible yet powerful jaws that was able to pick up a trike and shake it in a violent force. The other two simply won't share their names with her, not that she cared.
Wraith was not interested in getting to know anyone, all that she cared about was to take them to the one known as Baldur. The tyrant who had the dream to rule.
Monsters come in all shapes and sizes. In this world there was still a chance that there was something much more worse than the blind. To Wraith she honestly saw herself as one of those that were worser than the blind.
That was cause the blind were a common occurrence, they were normal while she was not. Though she couldn't relate to others with mutations, she can't help but wonder how many can simply accept their appearance.
Mutations were close to a sin in this world. How could anyone merely look at themselves and actually love how they look?
Wraith didn't get it and she probably would never understand. As she returns to Baldur she couldn't take her eyes off of the future that lay before her.
So we find out more Wraith and what those who are considered as Mutants go through?
Then there is Jr who is still against the whole pact that his father has made. Bloodmaw wants what is best for his kids, while Jr doesn't like the idea of splitting up the family. If you were Jr what would you do? I'm curious about your thoughts! ^^
