The darkness was overwhelmingly thick, there was no way to determine if something was before her or not. Cripple looked around trying to find any source of light, and all she could find was the faintest of light through a thin crack.
She looked at the light and tried to peek out, all she could see was dark shadows outside. It finally occurred to her that she was in a den or cave made to be like some kind of cell. Goliath no doubt threw her in there, probably to make sure she doesn't escape.
He didn't merely want her to join his clan, he wanted something more from her but what?
Cripple was worried, what had they done to the little rex and what were they going to do with her?
Heavy calling of the blind always made the night so eerie and ominous. Cripple could hear it all around her, being in a enclosed space like this just made it worse. It just echoed off of the walls.
She blinked hearing voices, she looked through the crack as best as she could.
"I can't believe that kid is special.", scoffed a giganotosaurus. "If you ask me we should feed her to them blind animals."
"I don't know.", replied another giganotosaurus. "I don't wanna believe it either but you saw what happened? The moment we took her, the Evil One became furious."
"Pfft! Isn't he always furious? Besides, she is just a kid! She is just a waste of time."
Cripple looked surprised, the Evil One was furious when she was taken? Did that mean that the Evil One was here as well?
She frowned as she looked down, she blinked suddenly as a large shadow came before the crack of light. Cripple winced as the sharp rays of the moon hit her face slowly from a opening from the ceiling, her head still ached from being knocked out.
A giganotosaurus rolled a large boulder out of the way of her so called cell, he looked at her with cold eyes. "Don't try anything."
Cripple glared back at him and she snarled as he pushed her out. "Move it!", growled the giganotosaurus.
Cripple slowly walked and it took her now to notice that she was in some kind of cave like system with dens or rather cells since there were boulders covering them like doors.
She looked around cautiously as she tried to take in her environment.
Goliath only had giganotosaurus working for him, probably cause he liked size and power. Cripple only saw each and every one of them as stupid, but Goliath he was quite intelligent. He was a elder so that was probably why?
Elders were always smart, they live longer and with it the intelligence was on there side.
Cripple heard a familiar crying sound, she looked over to see the little rex chained to the wall. She blinked and as she started to run over was she kicked to the floor.
"What the hell!?!", growled Cripple at the giganotosaurus.
The brute glared sharply at her, "I told you not to try anything brat!"
Cripple looked at the little rex who was desperately trying to get to her, but couldn't for it was chained. It cried out for her and that made her heart ache.
"I want to see him!?!", spoke Cripple glaring at the brute.
The giganotosaurus smirked, "Aw, you care for him huh? You will see him shortly come dinner time!"
"What!?!", yelled Cripple as she glared at him sharply. "I will....!?!"
Cripple got up to attack the brute but was kicked back down, and as she tried to stand back up was she pinned.
"Heh! You ain't so tough!", sneered the giganotosaurus but he looked up noticing Goliath walking over.
"That is no way to treat our guest.", spoke Goliath in a cold tone.
The brute removed his foot from her, "Sorry."
Cripple slowly stood up as she glared daggers at the brute who was sneering at her.
"You want to see the little rex, go ahead." Goliath looked at her with a eerie smile, he looked at her like she was some kind of rare object or item.
Cripple slowly walked toward the crying rex, her eyes softened looking at him. She took notice of the wound on the little rex, his neck was bleeding and that didn't sit well with her.
"Treat him!", she looked at Goliath coldly.
Goliath smirked, "Oh? What will you do in return?"
Cripple felt a strong chill go down her spine, his voice was so calm. She didn't like this.
Goliath walked over to her keeping the smirk on his face, he looked at the little rex before slowly looking at her. "I could heal him, but you must return the favor."
Cripple glared at Goliath, her body boiled in pure anger. She didn't want to be here, she didn't like Goliath. How could he hurt a defenseless child!
Although, his views were different from her. He would do anything that he wanted. Cripple was starting to see his true colors bit by bit. "What favor."
Goliath chuckled, "Come now there is no reason for you to glare. The favor is merely simple, you join me."
Cripple bared her teeth, "Join you!"
Goliath nodded, "Of course. You belong with me."
Cripple's heart twisted in disgust, she looked at the little rex who was snuggled up to her as best as he could. Goliath was going to use the little rex as a way to make her follow his orders.
A loud scream like roar interrupted her thoughts, she looked up in surprise. She had never heard a call like that before.
Goliath froze up but he chuckled, "My he sure is angry huh?"
Cripple blinked at his words, the Evil One made that sound?
"Boss, What should we do?", asked a giganotosaurus.
Goliath looked at him calmly, "He can't get in here. Besides, we have what we need."
Have what they need?
Cripple didn't know what to make of that, so the Evil One was not captured like her? He was outside of the clan?
Goliath looked at her, "I must of course see if it is true?" He had a smirk.
Cripple didn't like the looks of that smirk. "..."
Goliath looked at Cripple face to face, "Tell me, does he show calmness with you?"
"What are you talking about!?!", snarled Cripple.
Goliath chuckled lowly, "The Evil One obeys your commands?"
Cripple blinked confused. The Evil One didn't kill her and she asked him a question but she hadn't seen him obey her. "No, he doesn't.", she retorted.
Goliath narrowed his eyes at her, "Oh."
Cripple closed her eyes before opening them, "I will not join you! I don't need your help!"
Goliath laughed but blinked at another roar from outside of the clan walls. He looked around curiously before he smiled. "I think you will need my help."
Cripple blinked as Goliath flicked his head, she looked behind her as she was pulled away from the little rex by a giganotosaurus. "NOO!?!", she screamed. "DON'T HURT HIM!?!"
Cripple was thrown roughly to the floor and pinned, her eyes were streaming with tears as she watched Goliath give his command. "Kill him."
One of the giganotosaurus, the one who spoke of eating him walked toward him. This was as low as anyone could go!
Goliath watched Cripple with a smile, his eyes were locked on hers. "You sure you don't want my help?"
The cave was full of laughter from Goliath's grunts, as they watched in interest.
Every now and then there was a loud scream from the Evil One outside of the clan walls. The laughter from the grunts however stopped when a loud noise occurred. The sound was similar to something ramming into a wall.
Goliath noticed it as he looked over with wide eyes, he slowly looked at the giganotosaurus who had his foot over the crying baby rex.
"OKAY!?! I WILL DO WHAT YOU WANT!?!", cried Cripple. She sobbed, "P-Please..."
Goliath smirked, "Stop."
The brute stopped and looked back at Goliath, he frowned sharply as he moved away from the little rex.
A stronger slam echoed throughout the clan, which got Goliath's attention. "My he reacts to your cries."
Cripple was laying there with her eyes closed, she had never been that upset before. That little rex had lost its parent, while Cripple lost her home.
The both of them were different but they lost something very dear to them. She felt obligated to help that little rex, after all every living thing deserves a chance at life.
Though, many would disagree.
Goliath walked away, "Put her back in her cell."
Cripple was forced up roughly, she didn't want to leave the little rex but she was forced. She looked at the little rex who was crying out for her.
Those cries would torment her all night.
The cell welcomed her when she was pushed inside of it, she looked back glaring at the giganotosaurus as he pushed the boulder back over the mouth of the little den. She looked down before moving herself closer to the thin crack of light.
She had no choice, they would of killed that little rex if she hadn't of spoken up. Cripple slowly laid down with her head close to the crack of light. Her eyes were still wet with tears.
She was strong and independent, the fact that she cried was proof that she still felt for others. But she hated to cry. Crying in front of her enemies was something she didn't want to do but it was forced upon her.
This was proof that the world was a harsh and unforgiving place. Goliath and his goons needed to be stopped, but how.
Cripple looked out the thin crack of light, and began to think. Goliath had said that the Evil One would listen to her. She was special because of that fact.
If he did listen to her then did that mean that he wanted to use her to control the Evil One?
Parent or not, the Evil One saw her differently from other beasts. He had to of for him to not kill her right away.
She closed her eyes trying to calm down, but her thoughts lingered to if Goliath used the Evil One. What would he make the Evil One do? Would he use him against other clans to show that he controls his so called "God".
Cripple didn't like it, she did not want to be a part of this. She was going to get away from here, she had too.
There was no telling what Goliath would do next?
Cripple looked at the walls of her cell, the Evil One was still roaring and causing a big scene outside. She didn't know if she was special or not. The Evil One was definitely different from other beings.
Her clan elders had told her stories that there were some strange creatures out there in the world. They were so strange that no one knew what to make of it.
She felt like that was true. They were truer than the words and beliefs of Goliath that was for sure.
Cripple doubted she could sleep, how could she being in a place of her enemies. She agreed to joining their clan but she would not be there for long. The first chance she gets, she was going to get out of there and she would take that little rex with her.
He needed a name, she smiled feeling a little bit happy despite all that had happened to her. When they get out of here she was going to give that little rex a name. He deserved it.
The grunts of Goliath were walking around, she knew this from hearing the footsteps outside of her cell.
She watched them from the little opening she had, the cave system from what she saw looked to be naturally made. The walls around them were a cave, as far as she could tell.
Cripple didn't know where she was but all that she could do was wait for a right time to escape.
Poor Cripple and how horrible that they did that to her with the young rex in order to make her do as they say. Will she be able to escape?
What are your thoughts? Would you of done the same thing as Cripple to save the little rex? I would really like to know! ^^
See you in the next chapter!
