The unexpected physical contact and her seductive tone momentarily caught Zhang Guoqing off guard.

His breathing hitched.

Xia Wenjin understood what his sister was doing. 

At least his sister was of some use! 

"Mr. Zhang," Xia Mengrui purred, her voice dripping with feigned sweetness as she noticed the man's frozen posture. She traced her fingers lightly against his arm. "You understand our situation, don't you?"

Inwardly, Xia Mengrui was feeling nauseous. If it weren't for the money, she wouldn't have had to debase herself like this. 

Thank goodness she was wearing a mask or else her hideous pimples would have been visible and she wouldn't have been able to coax this man. 

Zhang Guoqing stared at her twinkling eyes, with disdain and incredulity written all over his face.

She was not very slim; she was rather fatty. Her complexion was quite dull. 

Even though she tried to soften her voice, it had a scratchy edge.
