"I leveled up!"
Welf shook me, grinning like a loon as he held onto my shoulders. I grinned at him, even as I was swaying back and forth.
"Bell! You magnificent bastard! I leveled up because of you! I'm never calling you a slave driver ever again!"
My grin dropped, and I looked up at him with a deadpan.
"You were calling me a slave driver?"
Undeterred by my reaction, he kept grinning and put his hands on his hips, looking excited.
"And I got the blacksmith development ability! I can make weapons even faster now! And better quality!"
I sighed, ignoring the previous comment and patting him on the shoulder.
"Make me a dagger."
He placed his own hand on my shoulder.
"Okay, but you are helping me."
I blinked and shrugged, I was fine with that. And I didn't really need any special material to make it with.
"I think I still have one minotaur horn left over, depending on what kind you want, I can make one or two."
I nodded, I didn't need much, anyway.
"I need it to be with a curved blade, rather long, half of the top side needs to be sharp, and some of the blade needs to be covering my fingers."
He blinked, raising an eyebrow.
"So... Like an Elven blade?"
That was an elven blade? I didn't know, it was just the same design I used back then, but whatever, I think I got it from an elf king back then too...
"Basically yeah."
He hesitated for a moment but nodded anyway. He let go of my shoulder and I took off my gear, placing the throwing knives along with my Kusarigama on the empty place on the desk.
I looked around the workshop, seeing the many well-made weapons I had wondered about ever since I came here for the first time.
"Hey, Welf, mind me asking why these weapons are still here?"
He looked over at the weapons, and sighed, crouching down and pulling out a small box, taking out a minatour horn.
"They don't sell..."
He shrugged, walking over to the furnace and lighting the fire, he leaned back, allowing it to heat up for the moment.
"They're not magic swords, I'm surprised you haven't asked for one yet..."
I raised an eyebrow, walking closer to him and leaning on the desk myself.
"You can make magic swords?"
He raised a surprised eyebrow, looking over at me like I was the one saying I could make magic swords.
"You didn't know?"
I shrug, What was so special about them anyway? I could enchant swords myself with a few runes, that's why I asked him to make the dagger.
He sighed and looked into the fire as if searching for something that wasn't there.
"I'm a Crozzo, the Crozzo family in the past were able to make magic swords... They were used as political tools, and in the war against the elves..."
I still don't see the problem.
"My ancestor was blessed by the spirits, and since then, the Crozzo bloodline has been able to make these magic swords, that was until the said war with the elves... Our weapons were used to burn down a forest and since then, we lost our ability to make Magic swords... That is until I came along."
I hummed...
"What's the difference between a magic sword and an enchanted one?"
He frowned and looked over at me, the solemn tone fully gone.
"What's an Enchanted sword?"
Oh boy...
I hummed, looking up at the ceiling, thinking. If he made enchanted swords... I sighed, I should stop thinking like that, or I would be alone forever, with nobody I could trust.
"Alright, tell you what, Welf... tomorrow, I will bring you everything I know about Enchantments, and in return, the only ones you will share the information with, will be your descendants."
He looked at me intensely when I glanced at him, our eyes locking for a full minute before he chuckled.
"I don't think you have to worry about that, Bell..."
I wonder why that is...
"Well... Enchantments are something extra added to the weapon, or a piece of equipment, however, it is harder to add enchantments to clothing..."
I walked over to the box containing my chain and tossed it over to him. He panicked and prepared to catch it, only to catch it mid-air and hold it like it weighed nothing.
"Wha...?"
I chuckled, walking back over as the redhead looked at the box like he was looking at a dragon egg. I leaned closer, pointing at the underside of the box, where there were symbols etched into it.
"Those symbols are what make that box so light and give it more space inside than it might seem on the outside..."
His eyes widened as he looked at the symbols, his eyes running over them, he slid his finger over them and frowned at the texture.
"They are not etched..."
He muttered and I watched his fascination with a smirk on my face. So, this was how it looked from the outside...
"Bell, what do these mean?"
