Capítulo 5: A Business Meet-up

Franklin ignored Edgar's coquettish smile and walked to the other side of the sofa. He crossed his legs, supported his arms on the sofa's rest, and looked at Edgar curiously. "What do you want from me?"

Talking about business, Edgar put away his leisure acts, asked the two beauties to go out first, poured Franklin a glass of red wine, and then said in a serious tone. "The Titan Group is acquiring a large number of small and medium-sized companies, securities, banks and organizations. Recently, it has also been trading closely with foreign companies. Should we just sit here and wait for liquidation?"

Franklin shrugged. "It seems that they wants to expand their power, so what?"

His words were full of disdain, and he didn't take the action of Titan Group seriously at all. Because the group of companies Franklin represented, were well-known in the American market and abroad. In America, Trident Group of companies and Larson Group of companies, each occupied one side of the market.

The Titan Group was an overseas company based in China, and had only been developing in America for three short years, so how could it compete with them?

But Franklin was never a person who took things lightly, and he would definitely have prepared countermeasures in advance.

"Then should we give them a big gift to show them our support?!" Edgar gave a wicked smile and gently shook the wine glass in his hand to make the wine in the cup more mellow. There was excitement in his words, his starry eyes sparkled as he savored the red liquid in the cup.

"I'll leave this matter to you. As for the gift, you can decide for yourself. Just be reasonable, no embarrassment."

When Edgar heard this, he frowned and said unwillingly. "Hey, Frank, what are you talking about? What do you mean by 'reasonable'? I'm hundred times more reasonable than you. Even if you cause embarrassment on your own, I, Edgar, don't indulge in embarrassment.

Franklin curled his lips and smiled, as if he was used to it.

"Okay, now that we've finished discussing official business, it's time to talk about your own personal affairs. I heard that the Larson family wants you to marry Lucille. Well, although she's very, very unruly and headstrong, she's be a perfect match for you. Congratulations to you, haha." Edgar gloated and made fun of Franklin.

"Are you done?" But Franklin's handsome face remained calm despite Edgar's deliberate teasing, and he replied calmly. "You know what, when I get married, I'll definitely make sure you experience what it feels like to be the groom with one of my old ladies."

As soon as these words sounded, Edgar, who was enjoying the wine, started to cough non-stop. A few seconds later, he put the cup aside, took the tissue on the table and wiped it, saying. "You know what, it's better if you remain single for the rest of your life."

"Well, that's good to know."

Franklin's words were so light and casual that Edgar felt a chill down his spine. Everyone knew that this first son of the Larson family was famous for his philandering. It was easier raising the dead than to get him to stop touching women.

Who knew if he would plan for one of his old hags to sleep with him without him being aware of it. Imagine one of them getting pregnant. Edgar immediately put on a broad smile. "Alright, Frank. It's time for us to enjoy the rest of the day."

"I have something else to do, so I'll let you be." After drinking the red wine in the glass, Franklin stood up and walked towards the door.

"So soon? How reasonable." Franklin had just stepped to the door when he heard Edgar's dissatisfied voice.

As soon as Franklin walked out, the women waiting outside swarmed into the room.

As the silver-white Lamborghini drove towards the brightly lit avenue with neon lights, Franklin, who was sitting at the back of the car, looked towards the window with his dark eyes flickering in thoughts.
