Escreva uma avaliaçãoIf you look through the reviews you will see that all the hate comments are from people who have read less than 60 chapters. While people who have atleast read 100 chapters or more (like me), praise this novel, and its creative author. The story may seem like the it doesn't go the conventional way at first, like the choices the Mc make. You may even feel like dropping this novel. But trust me and keep moving forward, once u get to atleast chapter 60, u will realise this is a diamond hidden in coal. Infact i reccomend all readers give a try(force yourself to read it even if u cant deal with the seemingly dumb choice MC seems to make) to uptill chapter 62, then i bet u will keep with this novel. About this novels MC, he choices may seem stupid and illogical to people, especially wat he does in chapter 45(note: many of you will even feel like to drop this novel at this chapter, but please hold u will together and march forth), but later on you will see why his decisions will benefit him. Also its not that the author is accidentally making the mc stupid, but the author is trying to portray that he is genuinely ignorant in this story, and he is improving by learning from his mistakes. This is what is meant by character development. If you are here to see a kumo desu ga, nani ka MC in this novel that instantly knows what skills to pick,or where watever legendary skills she picks becomes immensely useful, or have a diety watching wat the MC is doing while talking/informing her, then this is not tat kind of novel. Sure this novel shows a MC similar to kumo desu ga, but the only advantage that the MC has is his human inteligence. But that just gives him a headstart (Spoiler: As its strongly implied that monsters in lower levels will have higher inteligence and thinking capability) and lets him choose how to evolve/mutate. Other than that he is no other advantage, no info about the world from a God, no understanding of how dangerous situation he is or anything. This is a novel where it clearly shows the intensity of survival. The MC sometimes have to pick the short term benefits just to survive bit longer than the long term benefits. But after each of his trials and tribulation he find ways to turn his short term benefits to a long term advantage. That is the best thing of this novel.
This is my second review now for this novel, having read from the first release till now, this is arguably the best novel on Qidian, amongst all the fluffy romances novels, or the many, many mind numbingly generic face slapping novels, and not to mention the poorly written/poorly translated novels on this platform, this novel stands out as a unique masterpiece. It hits all the right notes on the right order, it does not concern itself with what other novels are doing. The author does a brilliant job in all aspects of this fantastical comedy of a transmigration monster novel. If you are hesitating on reading this novel, don't. Make the time and put aside other novels, this one is better.
This story is great and for sure deserves to be and eventually will be higher on the ranking (assuming consistent updates). The main reason for this is because until now this story has been written as a web novel and not a regular novel like many of the others have been. This can be seen from the superb world building which while not particularly in-depth (yet) has laid a wonderful foundation for easy expansion either deeper into the dungeon or up onto the surface and has already shown factions and conflict in the human society allowing for hundreds or perhaps thousands of future chapters. This is usually lacking from other stories in the rankings as even those with a pre-established lore need new areas or factions occasionally and without a foundation it always feels like an ass-pull and will eventually limit their longevity. The system the mc has, while cliched, also lends itself to the web novel format as it allows the author to show numerically and or cleanly through a menu that the characters are progressing in each chapter meaning daily updates always feel meaningful and not like fluff. Finally the most impressive thing about this story is the speed at which the character grows, that is to say slowly. Other stories on the rankings almost always show their mc's rocket up in strength to quickly become influential in their world. However I find that this is often short sighted as it hampers world building and longevity as possible enemies quickly become scarce and we never see the prospective of the world as a little guy. This story does not have that problem as the mc is not the strongest and does not seem to be likely to become the strongest any time soon allowing for plenty of interesting hurdles to over come for a long time. Honestly the only real gripe i have is the ridiculous main character who seems to be both comically unperturbed by his situation (literally) as well as far too eager to enter an unknown ant society. This could be easily remedied however if the author either bluntly stated that being an ant has somehow warped his perception of reality or showed that his sanity was rightfully cracking around the edges but that his silly sense of humor was keeping him together, explaining his constant need for jokes. **. ALL PRAISE THE MIGHTY GANDALF!!!!! MAY HIS BEARD BE EVER BUSHY AND WHITE
An enjoyable book, the system the world has in place is interesting. Kill things to level up, level up to get skillpoints for upgrading and gaining new skills, eat things for bio points, mutate yourself with bio points. The writing speed has been consistent at 7 chapters a week for as long as I have been reading it. One of the nice things about this book is that the author has knowledge about ants and did some research. Now here are some ants for the Ant God. 🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜
My favorite evolution story. Lots of humor, well-written, keeps the focus where it needs to be. Great work! I highly recommend this to anyone who likes these types of tales.
Preeeeetty good. Nice take on the monster evolution genre. And him not immediately becoming OP is nice as well. Looking forward to more. Hope he can be the best Ant he can ant.
This novel is amazing. The author is damn witty, i know the humor will not be for everyone but for me it's a bullseye. i hope this won't count as a spoiler but the whole story is written as a monologue (granted there are some bits which aren't) and the self depricating humor of the protagonist is spot on.
This story is really good. The beginning was a little slow, but when you read more of it, you won't be able to stop. Five stars!!! There is some small mistakes such as grammar and other small things, but you won't really notice. I'm not really sure about the stability of updates, but in the last few days, there has been a new chapter every day. Although the beginning of the story was a little boring, it quickly became very interesting and exiting to read. The story has chapters from another POV than the MC, and even though these are kinda boring to read at the beginning (because the MCs POV is always exiting and you get kinda pissed off when you have been wondering what would happen after the last cliffhanger, but then you get a non-MC chapter) they are probably important in the story as a whole, Rome wasn't built in one day. We haven't really heard a lot about the world yet, but I think the author has planned something big.
Chrysalis is a story about a human transforming into an ant monster in a world where every living creature has access to the System. Writing Quality - There is little repetition that I noticed, which is an unfortunately common affliction among many of the novels on this site. It is easy to read and understand without seeming underdeveloped or basic. This is what should be the baseline for all the novels on this site to reach. Stability of Updates - I binged the whole story over the course of 2 days so I cannot comment on stability. I have seen a few apologies by the author for being late occasionally, but the overall reader reaction is positive in this regard. Story Development - At the time of this review, there are 446 chapters released. The story is fine. Anthony, a newly reborn ant monster, is sent out into the massive Dungeon and he wants to uncover why he was summoned and who is Gandalf (the name he gives the System), all the while undergoing adventures and meeting new people and monsters, and sometimes eating them. It has good pacing with lots of room left for new interesting events to occur. Character Design - The Protagonist is the weakest link in this story. Put frankly, he constantly acts in a manner which infuriated me and a number of other readers by making stupid choices that a normal person wouldn’t make. I believe this is deliberate on the author’s part as it happens a lot but always seems to work out in the main cast’s favor in the end. Some wasted potential comes in the form of the main character’s backstory as a human. In order to keep this review spoiler free I will refrain from talking about it directly, but every time it appears I feel disappointed. The other characters are better and far more interesting, if a bit cliché. I wish more time would be spent on them, but I also know that a similar web novel Kumo Desu Ga, Nani Ka? does just that and I can understand if the author wishes to be distinct from it. World Background - The world building is where this story shines. At the start of many chapters, the author will give a snippet from some in-universe books which gives the reader some insight into the world of Pangera and those who live in it. The setting feels more lived in and real than most other #system novels that I have read and the protagonist is less of a prophesied hero and more like just another person in this world. Very Good. Overall - if you are interested in something to pass the time in an enjoyable manner without having to pay ridiculous premium costs, then I can recommend this novel wholeheartedly. Finally, 8 legs are better than 6. Fight me.
It was an overall ok novel from what i read, i just got annoyed at how everything he seemed to do seemed to force an advancement in the overall plot, most things shouldn't effect everyone else, he makes loads of really stupid decisions which he doesn't seem to lean from which annoys me, and half of each chapter just seems to be him bitching and complaining about one thing or another, i skipped in 5 chapters hoping it would improve, but it seemed he still complains so i'm dropping the book
Brothers of the Dungeon rejoice! Swing, swing, swing with me Raise your mandibles and raise your voice! Sing, sing, sing with me Down and down into the deep Who knows what we'll find beneath? Biomass, rubies, gold and more Hidden in the mountain store Born underground, suckled from a teat of stone Raised in the dark, the safety of our mountain home Skin made of Diamond, mana in our bones To dig and dig makes us free Come on brothers sing with me! I am a Ant and I'm digging a hole Diggy diggy hole, diggy diggy hole I am a Ant and I'm digging a hole Diggy diggy hole, digging a hole The sunlight will not reach this low Deep, deep in the Dungeon Never seen the blue moon glow Ants won't fly so high Fill your Facehands and down some Biomass! Stuff your bellies at the feast! Stumble home and fall asleep Dreaming in our mountain keep Born underground, grown inside a rocky womb The earth is our cradle; the mountain shall become our tomb Face us on the battlefield; you will meet your doom We do not fear what lies beneath We can never dig too deep I am a Ant and I'm digging a hole Diggy diggy hole, diggy diggy hole I am a Ant and I'm digging a hole Diggy diggy hole, digging a hole I am a Ant and I'm digging a hole Diggy diggy hole, diggy diggy hole I am a Ant and I'm digging a hole Diggy diggy hole, digging a hole Born underground, suckled from a teat of stone Raised in the dark, the safety of our mountain home Skin made of Diamonds, mana in our bones To dig and dig makes us free Come on brothers sing with me! I am a Ant and I'm digging a hole Diggy diggy hole, diggy diggy hole I am a Ant and I'm digging a hole Diggy diggy hole, digging a hole I think Anthony would find a great friend in some Dwarfs ;-) Great writing, Updates are coming regulary too. Character Design is great and the World Background gets trinkeld in every now and then. A solid 4.4~5 stars
Antony the Gravitational Ant has ended becoming my favorite MC of monster reincarnation. This guy has it all, he is funny, amusing, ruthless and the best damn cunning insect that one could find on fiction.
Revelar SpoilerI've had time to think about this story, and quite simply it just isn't very good. would you sacrifice almost everything else for :comedic: bits and pieces? (and I say pieces very literally here as most times that's all it is; pieces of) I see all the reviews about; "don't take it seriously or you won't have fun!" but when the actual story itself brings the reader out of that mindless popcorn fest with its own disregard for even a basic standard of bookkeeping it goes a little beyond the pale. see, I have no issue 'turning off my brain' if that's the kind of novel it wants to be, but it needs to be very careful with its own internal bookkeeping, so I don't actually have to be worried about it myself. that's the state of play a story like that has to bring to the table. it has to be consistent, and, ultimately, it has to be largely funny and fun. I, personally, think the story fails to do so, and it's all the worse because of the rest of the issues that fall by the wayside as a result or because of this idea that one doesn't need to care about the rest making sense or working so long as one or two things is done serviceably. but what do I know, right? 1800+ ratings and a 4.54/5 overall at this moment, it's gotta have something to it, right? maybe you'll see something I didn't, maybe it's just not to my taste, maybe I should ask myself why I pushed so hard to like this story? I read more chapters than I would normally do...
If you are reading this, and haven't started this series yet. The answer is, "Yes, yes you should really... really read this book series." You are probably curious why... well... this series should be on the number one slot in the original category. I'm pretty sure if we deduct the horny votes for 18+ series that are in the top 20 rankings. This LN would be in the top 5 easily, and would probably do a weekly battle for the number 1 slot.
Story is great fun, and the fantastic struggles of ANThony are detailed herein. The few side POVs really help to flush out the world building and provide context for the story environment.
love this story the battle tactics used are very clever and the world building is coming along nicley can,t wait to see where this story goes
Anthony.... Reborn as an Ant.... Ok. That right there is so bad. Thats gotta be the worst pun I've ever fucking seen out of all the novels ive seen on this site, and I fucking love it.
Tl:dr hidden gem, solid A- story well worth a read The writing contains western slang and internet meme references throughout, which for myself is a major plus and quite humorous, but can be offputting to some. The narrative moves forward at a slow trot, and does justice to the whole "reincarnated as a monster" genre. This is no "re:monster", instead it is more of "tensei ****ara slime datta ken" with the humor and the protagonist embracing his un-humanoid monster form. To the author: I spent an entire afternoon binge reading this. Well done. *slow clap*

Definitely amongst my favorite original novels out there amongst non human protagonist reincarnation types. Great plot, world building and grammar . At 40chapters the story is still in infant stages, maybe toddler. But it’s been a real fun ride. Binged all 40 in two days. Highly addictive and gonna recommend this novel to everyone
