I don't know why, but I was nervous as I made my way down the hall. I knew Lex wasn't going to be angry. He wasn't that kind of person. However, I didn't know if he was going to be disappointed. We planned on waiting. On living our lives here in the underworld first. And now those plans were gone. 

Also, as I walked, I tried to think about how I felt. How this news was affecting me. Of course, this was going to be something that changed life for the both of us, but I was the one who would be the most impacted physically and mentally. And I wasn't sure I was ready for this. 

I'm only eighteen. My life has barely started, and I have so much I need to do. So many things to take care of and people to oversee. With all of that in mind, I'm not so sure whether I'll be able to handle one more.
