Capítulo 191: The winner (191)

Rin's frustration manifested as a relentless storm within him, each punch into the ground an outpouring of unbridled emotion.

The field bore witness to the intensity of his discontent, with each forceful strike carrying the weight of unfulfilled expectations.

As Rin's hands bled from the furious assault on the ground, the visible physical toll mirrored the internal turmoil. His frustration, an overwhelming force, surged through him like a tempest, leaving no room for restraint.

The field, now marred by the marks of his discontent, reflected the storm raging within Rin.

A guttural scream tore through the air, a manifestation of Rin's unrelenting frustration.

The sound echoed across the field, a primal cry that encapsulated the depths of his inner turmoil. His voice carried the weight of unspoken questions, the anguish of a competitor grappling with the relentless pursuit of excellence.

"Why wasn't he good enough to win?" The question lingered in the air, unspoken yet palpable in Rin's scream. The frustration, like an unyielding force, surged through him, leaving him grappling with the profound dissatisfaction of falling short.

Rin's eyes, clouded with frustration and lingering disappointment, fell upon the figure of Nakada. The latter stood there, a stoic presence, observing Rin with an unwavering gaze. There was an unsettling stillness about Nakada, a lack of emotion that spoke volumes.

In Nakada's eyes, Rin perceived a dispassionate detachment, as if Nakada regarded him with the indifference one might reserve for an inconsequential entity.

It was a gaze that seemed to look down upon him, akin to observing a mere insect beneath one's notice. The absence of any discernible emotion only deepened the impact of Nakada's silent judgment, leaving Rin to grapple with the weight of his frustration in the face of perceived indifference.

"As much as i hate to admit, you won"loki said upon looking at Nakada.

Loki's admission hung in the air, a begrudging acknowledgment of Nakada's victory.

As Loki approached Nakada with a semblance of acceptance, an unexpected laughter bubbled up from within him. The laugh, loud and unrestrained, echoed across the field, a surprising twist in the atmosphere.

Loki's laughter came to an abrupt halt as he neared Nakada, his amusement replaced by a sudden realization. Something was off. While everyone else was caught up in the aftermath of the match, Loki had keenly observed Nakada's state.

To his surprise, Nakada, the apparent victor, stood there, unconscious and unmoving. It was an eerie sight – a paradoxical image of triumph and vulnerability. Nakada, despite the victory, had pushed himself to such limits that his body had succumbed to exhaustion. Yet, against all odds, he remained standing.

"You absolute beast," Loki uttered in a mix of astonishment and admiration as he beheld Nakada in his unconscious state. The words carried a tone of respect, acknowledging Nakada's extraordinary feat on the field.

The scene shifted to what appeared to be a surveillance room, where a lanky man and a woman with red hair scrutinized the screens displaying the Neo Egoist League field.

"Why is he just standing still?" the woman queried with a hint of impatience. The lanky man, seemingly unimpressed, retorted, "Sometimes I wonder if there's only hair in that brain of yours, Anri."

Anri's expression tightened, revealing her irritation at the man's comment. However, she managed to restrain herself from responding overtly.

"But, as you clearly can't see shit for yourself, let me just tell you – he is unconscious," the man stated bluntly, cutting through the tension in the room.

"PXG's whole strategy throughout this whole game was to drag out the match and keep the pressure on Barcha, forcing the prodigy into a corner, making him stay at 100% without rest. You may be an airhead, but you must have noticed that," Ego remarked, leaning back in his chair.

"In order to keep their team fresh, they kept making substitutions as the match went on," Anri added. Ego's response was a nonchalant, "Huh, you're not that stupid after all."

"Even if you did get a part of it, you didn't get the whole thing, as usual," Ego added dismissively,

"As you may know already, he is more dangerous when he is cornered, but PXG was counting on that. The only reason they didn't let their second new-gen eleven player play was because of that reason. They wouldn't be able to control him. But with just Chapi and Loki, sure, they might pressure him, but not enough for him to grow exponentially, just enough to tire him out," Ego added, providing insight into PXG's strategic decision-making.

Ego's eyes shifted to the screen, focusing intently on Nakada's unconscious but still-standing figure.

He looked to be deep within his subconscious and yet he still stood as if refusing to fall....
