Vanessa

After Alfred had told Vanessa she had to be the one to kill Malik, she was handed a gun. “This belonged to Katrina. It’s only fatal to vampires. But you must shoot in the right place. Your hunter instincts will know.”

Vanessa pushed the gun away, “And what if I choose not to fulfill this said calling from a woman I’ve never even met? I don’t want to kill anyone.”

Alfred looked her in the eyes and grabbed her head, muttering a spell, “Awake is the beast, awake now the hunter.” Vanessa felt as if a surge of electricity had gone through her body. It was as though she was dead before and it jolted life into her. Her vision, sharper, hearing, heightened, sense of smell greater than the wolf on the prowl.

“What did you do to me?” she asked as she looked herself over.
