Capítulo 44: Chapter 44: Set into Motion

Diego’s POV

“Where the hell have you been?” I furiously whispered to Marcell.

He casually strolled into my uncle’s estate like it was Sunday morning brunch, without a care in the world. All while I was well into my third panic attack of the very early morning.

Having only garnered perhaps two hours of sleep, I awoke to the dingy apartment to discover my cousin had abandoned me. I was terrified that Marcell had done something stupid.

“I went back to my house to shower and change clothes. I brought you stuff,” he said, a lazy smile locked onto his face. “You’re welcome by the way.”

“You haven’t been answering your phone,” I seethed over my shoulder.

I stormed through the estate to the guest room that my uncle kept prepared for me.

“I may have snoozed for a bit in between,” Marcell said, closing the door of the guest room behind him.

“I was worried, Marcell,” I said while stripping off my now-wrinkled tuxedo.
