Katie’s POV
“I am so sorry,” I muttered into Arrow’s soft dress shirt, breathing in his clean smell.
“No, I’m sorry. I should have just been honest about it from the beginning, and told you I was preoccupied. I was so focused on starting the date, I didn’t want anything to get in the way,” Arrow spoke, his low tones for my ears only.
“I’m sorry I overreacted,” I said, my cheeks heating at the memory of what just transpired.
“It wasn’t an overreaction,” Arrow assured me, pulling back to look down at me. His mouth quickly closed the distance, landing a soft, gentle kiss on my lips. “Let’s eat. I’m starving.”
Dazed from the kiss and drained from my very public panic, I allowed Arrow to help me sit down. He tucked my chair in behind me, topping off my glass with fresh wine. .Arrow nodded his head to the woman behind me, who awkwardly had a front-row seat to the entire display.
“I feel like I need to explain.” I started.
