Capítulo 30: Party End

Detective Cruz entered the room, then looked around. Luckily, I managed to hide before she came in; otherwise, I wouldn't know how I would explain why I was there.

She looked through the documents that those guys from earlier had brought in. She grabbed one of the envelopes, then turned to leave.

I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw her about to close the door, but then I accidentally bumped into one of the bookshelves I was hiding behind.

Detective Ashley seemed to have heard the sound. She stopped in her tracks and looked around the room. She walked towards me, the very direction where the noise of the falling book came from.
