A dangerous melody rang out on the various battlefields, making for some sort of intense background music. Winds formed, converging towards the point where Hugo stood in the air. The Dancers and Monsters alike looked up at the figure.
It was like being in the presence of a deity. Hugo's coat flapped violently in the air along with the scarf that seemed to elongate at that point.
The wind formed a sort of spherical orb around him that constantly fluctuated and lashed out against the rest of the environment. Anybody with working eyes could see that the orb resembled the Plague Monster's core, in appearance and nature.
Each note he played increased the danger level. The sonorous melody was dreadful and came across like the screams of a thousand ghouls.
After a few seconds of random pulsation, the wind lashed out once more to form transparent figures wearing cloaks and wielding scythes.
"Grim Reaper's Sonata,"
This chapter was extremely descriptive, and I had to avoid saying the same things multiple times. That aside, the Spirity for this year has started, and while I won't join (even though I have about three books just waiting to be posted), I'm thinking of making a new patron tier specifically for releasing one of those books. It's a bit different to my comfort zone, but that is what being a writer is about.
