That's why we had a hard time finding you—we had almost everyone out looking all over the island trying to find where you ended up."

Hailey's mind recalled the people she had seen in the clearing, there were at least half a dozen of them not including Halden, Jakob, Eleena, and Alec. If Halden said that almost everyone was out looking for her, that meant there were more people than those ten people she had met. How many people were on that island?—she wondered.
