Hanasaki Uta and his four friends were dragged into the familiar trope of being summoned to another world. While his friends were chosen for roles like "Hero" and "Saint," Uta alone was assigned the job of "Unemployed," a designation that offered him no power or abilities.

Given some money and promptly sent out of the castle, Uta’s misfortune took a darker turn. He was betrayed by the summoning king, who ordered soldiers to kill him. Slashed down by their blades, Uta’s life appeared to end there.

But they had overlooked a crucial fact. While Uta was indeed a student with no apparent role, he harbored an incredible secret.
