The black soul and the blue core were practically indestructible, even with her powers. Yet, curiously, the mass of souls attached to the black soul was strangely malleable. Like clay in her hands, Iana found she could shape the souls effortlessly, something that she had hardly ever seen before. The way the souls and blue core acted, reminded her of slimes, those little blue blobs.
Intrigued and cautious, she extended her fingers and attempted to extract a piece of the amalgamated souls. But no matter how much she stretched a section of the writhing mass, it never tore free. It clung together as though bound by some unbreakable, otherworldly force.
Focusing on her divine sight, Iana peered deeper into the writhing cluster. Thin, pulsating black tendrils extended from the black soul at the core, weaving through the patchwork of souls. The tendrils seemed alive, slowly corrupting and dominating each soul in the amalgamation, devouring it. What might once have been soul fragments of humans or elves, was now just… goo.
Goo that the black soul used as building blocks to grow bigger in size. And there was nothing she could do to stop it. No amount of divine energy could purify it, but there actually may be a way to stop whatever the black soul is doing, she thought. Or at least to stop it from gathering even more souls.
Holding the cube in one hand, Iana willed it to open, the dense metallic shell splitting apart, revealing a golden core at its center. With the blue core in her other hand, she carefully placed it into the cube golden core.
The instant the blue touched the golden core, the mass of souls surged forward, quickly drawn into the cube. Like a mini tornado, all the souls were absorbed by the golden core, even the blue core wasn't safe as the golden core slowly wrapped itself against the blue core and absorbed it. Soon the opening to the cube core closed as there was nothing left.
Iana gazed at the sealed cube, her senses probing it cautiously. No trace of the black soul, the blue core, or the amalgamation of souls could be seen or felt beyond the confines of the cube. It worked, the cube successfully absorbed the abomination's core and soul.
But Iana wasn't done. Holding the cube, she closed her eyes, drawing upon every ounce of her divine energy that she could gather into the decaying body she was using.
Appearing above, to her right and left, to her front and back, any possible angles you can think of, massive amounts of large golden magic circles formed.
— 7 days later… Alex POV —
"Ugh, I feel sick! Why does my head hurt so much?" I groaned, clutching at an intense headache as memories of what had happened flooded my mind. I tried to rub my temples but quickly realized I was back in my dungeon core form.
"Ugh, where the fuck am I?" I muttered, glancing around. My gaze fell on a marble pedestal where I rested, surrounded by armor, swords, bows, and all sorts of other random shit that seems expensive. At the very end of the very white room, there were 2 massive marble doors covered in gold.
Out of instinct, I tried to extend a mana tendril to a nearby armor set to store it into my [Inventory], but I couldn't use any mana at all. Infact, none of my abilities or passive work. I tried to release some mana but it was absorbed by something else.

"Damn, why was I out for so long, Alexa?" I asked, startled as a flood of notifications bombarded me.
(Host's soul and consciousness were sealed by an 'Unknown Goddess'. However, the system disabled the seals that kept you dormant. The remaining 15,482 seals are still active.) Alexa explained calmly.
"DAMN, that's a lot, but wait, if the system can disable the seals, why didn't it destroy or disable the rest?" I asked, confused, as I watched the massive white marble doors open up.
(The system can, but it won't. The host's protection period has ended, so the system will rarely interfere with events, providing only minor help, as it is doing now. The host must resolve this situation on his own. Currently, the host is sealed inside an artifact designed to absorb all your mana whenever you attempt to use it,) Alexa explained. Though she wished she could do more to help Alex, she had very little power to help.
I can only shake my head, well, i couldn't actually shake my head but you get my point. I could only sigh as I felt stuffy inside whatever I was in.
"Go inside, child, but be careful. All the treasures here are relics of past heroes," an old elf woman said, her voice steady yet tinged with wisdom. She wore a holy white robe accented by a bright red cape and leaned on a simple wooden cane. Bandages covered her eyes, yet her movements were sure as she gently nudged the young girl beside her forward.
"Choose only one," she continued, "for it will be your forever weapon. Let it call you."
"Wait—" the girl began, startled, but her protest was cut short as the doors slammed shut behind her with a loud bang.
Dressed in a typical Japanese high school uniform, Mika Suzuki, an exceptionally beautiful and hardworking student, renowned as Japan's top scholar for excelling in every subject, met an untimely death when she was run over by a truck. When she woke up, she found herself in a room entangled with twisting branches.
Summoned to this world four days ago, Mika had spent most of the time in tears, mourning the family and friends she'd left behind. The life she had worked so hard to build now seemed meaningless, her achievements rendered futile in an instant. Trapped in a foreign world brimming with magic, Mika was now burdened with a task she didn't want, to fight for people she didn't know, in a place she didn't belong.
The only thing that gave Mika a glimmer of hope in this strange new world was her newfound ability to control all sorts of elements effortlessly. Without any training, she had managed to conjure a massive fireball, powerful enough to destroy several rooms in one go. While the destruction left her startled, it also filled her with a sense of relief. At least if she had to face this unfamiliar world, she wouldn't be defenseless, she was overpowered, and for now, that was enough to keep her spirits afloat.
[GYAAAATT, baby girl you say bark and i'll bark] I yelled to myself, watching the Japanese girl as she moved through the room, touching everything in sight. She would grab the hilt of a sword, study it for a moment, then let go, shaking her head each time as if searching for something she couldn't quite find.
I was so focused on her actions that I didn't notice the artifact I was trapped in had started to emit a faint green glow. The soft light pulsed, almost as if it were reacting to her presence.
As I watched her for a while, I heard a whisper, so faint and calm that I almost dismissed it as a trick of my mind. Yet, somehow, it caught the girl's attention. Her movements slowed, her gaze locking onto my direction as if drawn by an unseen force.
She ignored everything else in the room, her focus entirely fixed on me. Step by step, she approached, and before I knew it, she was standing directly in front of me, giving me an unintentional but clear view of her twin peaks, something I would never deny my eyes. Without hesitation, she reached out, grabbed me, and pressed me gently against her forehead.
"I'll call you Emi." she said softly, her hands cradling the golden cube as she began to pour every ounce of mana she had into it. Though she didn't understand why, her instincts compelled her to act.
Meanwhile, Alex, inside the cube, wondered why this girl had chosen that name for him. As she continued to channel her mana into the cube, he could feel the energy building up.
[Fuck it] Alex thought, deciding to follow her lead. He began releasing as much mana as he could muster, whatever it took. If she was doing something, he was going to do it too. After all, he was stuck inside a fucking cube and had nothing else to do.
