The arena was alive with the clash of opposing elements, the searing heat of the dragon's flames colliding with the relentless torrents of Sapphire's water magic.
Zaya's shadows moved like living creatures, snaking through the air and striking at the dragon with pinpoint precision. Yet, no matter how much they threw at the massive beast, it didn't falter.
From my vantage point, the scene was mesmerizing but also nerve-wracking. I could see the strain etched on both their faces the sweat dripping from Zaya's brow and the tremble in Sapphire's arms as she pushed her magic to its limits.
The dragon, however, looked as strong as ever, a terrifying force of nature.
"How are they going to beat that thing?" Lise muttered next to me, echoing my own thoughts.
I didn't answer, my eyes glued to the fight. As much as I wanted to believe in Zaya and Sapphire, the odds seemed insurmountable.
