"Why were you missing these 3 days?" Hardin was first to start the conversation to dispute against the awkward silence that has crammed the car.
Kate took a glance at him with her eyes widened as if he has asked something unusual. "You noticed? Woah, that's amazing." She paused and smiled warily. "I was just busy. I needed something to settle down."
"Family business?" He inquired. Why was he talking too much suddenly? He wandered.
Kate shook her head without uttering a single word.
"Then?" Hardin cocked his head. His curiosity is never-ending, it's just overflowing always.
She remained silent for a while again before she cleared her throat awkwardly. "Actually I don't like to talk about my family."
What Hardin felt was not embarrassment but was suspicion. But he managed to ignore it. "Ah! I am sorry." But, who hates to talk about family? It's just her.
