Back in the tent where the leaders of the three factions held their meeting, William sat alone at the table, his fingers drumming angrily against the wood as he muttered under his breath, replaying Victor's words.

"The only reason I allowed you to call me master was because I had taught you a trick when we first met and I would rather you didn't refer to me formally. But make no mistake, William, I am not…. and never will be, your master!"Williams's face is flushed red as he is overcome with anger, his composure slipping. He takes a few steps forward, his voice rising and frustration spilling over.

"All because of that damn slave," he spat, his voice low and venomous.

His fingers curled into fists, his nails digging into his palms as his thoughts spiraled.
