Jareth had managed to quickly organize and rally the uninjured adventurers and mercenaries, barking out orders that echoed through the camp. Kaleb approached him with intent when suddenly, another flurry of electricity rose high above the hill and lit it up.
Kaleb squinted at the hillside, the flickering light revealing the forms of the numerous beasts surging downward like an unrelenting tide for all to see. His chest tightened as he realized they were almost upon them.
'Shit! We're almost out of time!'
He hurried to Jareth, his steps uneven but resolute. Placing a hand on the man, he demanded to know what their next course of action was.
"What's the plan?" he asked, his voice tight with urgency.
The man brushed his hand off and ignored him, focusing on organizing the troops which made Kaleb even more impatient. They didn't have time for this; not long from now, there would be a horde of beasts right on top of them.
