Capítulo 43: Bonds and Betrayals

Jareth and Rayna exchanged a skeptical glance after hearing Victor's bold claims about Kaleb's potential. They looked back and took a moment to let his declaration sink in.

"Are you sure you know what you're talking about Victor?" Jareth asked.

Victor responded with nothing but a nod of his head.

Renna's voice was measured and her words calculating as she crossed her arms and spoke.

"Alright Victor, we'll help you."

Jareth turned to her, shocked by her words.

"What the hell are you saying woman? Do you plan on killing us both?"

She ignored Jareth and continued her discussion with Victor.

"Like I said, we'll help you. But, there is a price."

"I would expect nothing less from you Renna, so, what is your "price"?"

Renna turned and began circling the tent, her gaze focused up as she seemed lost in thought.

"What would be an appropriate price for this I wonder?" she muttered.
