Capítulo 14: fun

It was night. The party was finally over, and everyone had left except for one person: Tsuyu Asui. Having been mature and responsible since a young age, Tsuyu's parents had always trusted her more than usual, which is why they were less strict than normal parents.

Tsuyu (or Tsu as she requested I'd call her) and I hit it off immediately. I felt attracted by her penchant for speaking bluntly and honestly. It was a trait most would find offensive, but I instead found it comforting, as I knew her words to be reliable. She, in turn, liked the way I lived. I was free and was able to do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted to. To be unbound was something Tsu had always wanted. Tsu's parents were regularly busy at work, requiring her to become the caretaker of her two younger siblings at a young age. Thanks to this responsibility, Tsu had become someone who knew how to lead and look after people. But, as a pillar of support, emotional or otherwise, she was perpetually chained by the needs of others.

Backstory aside, Tsu and I had been talking long after the others left. The longer our conversation continued, the weirder the topics became.

"You have nice muscles. You must train very hard," Tsu said with her classic pondering look. I smiled wryly in response.

"Haha, I don't actually train, though. One of the perks of my quirk is a perfect body. Pretty neat, huh?" I then adopted a teasing look. "But you know, you're not so bad yourself. You probably have the thickest thighs I have ever seen. How do you do it?" She blushed. "I'm like you. My quirk gives me stronger legs to jump high like a frog. Ribbit."

I looked in wonder. "Haha, I love it!"

I then looked at her with an earnest face. "Hey, I know we've only known each other for like, a day, but I really like you. You've got great looks and an even greater personality. I don't think I'm that bad myself, so," I bowed slightly, expressing the honesty of my request. "Please be my girl."

She adopted a thoughtful expression, which went on for nearly a minute, causing me to become increasingly nervous. Eventually, she smiled. "Sure. I like you too. Ribbit." She kept it short and to the point, as was her style. I became extremely relieved, then excited. For the first time in both my lives, I had a girlfriend! And she was good looking too! I felt like the luckiest man alive.

However, my excitement wore off pretty quickly, and I noticed that neither of us had said a word.

"So, what now? I'm new to this, so I'm not sure what to do now." I looked her in the eyes. "Wanna make out?"

She smiled and nodded. "Alright. Ribbit."

And for the next hour, Tsu and I explored each other, and I became the first to experience the true potential of her tongue.

Sadly, yet understandably, she was not able to spend the night. I offered to send her home via one of the many means of transportation I possessed, which she declined politely. I jokingly said she needed to let her man take proper care of her, which earned me a playful slap of her tongue.

After she left, I looked at the ruins of what was once a pretty nice apartment. "Sigh, how am I going to fix this mess? I really should start showing off less. But who wouldn't show off when they got an awesome power like me?"

I pondered over a solution for a short time before just turning to my trusty power. I did not think there was an item that could magically repair objects since Gilgamesh, during his rule, most likely had workers to do that job (or perhaps even slaves). Instead, I decided to summon something that could restore things to their previous state, essentially toying with the flow of time. I knew the risks of messing with time, and I did not doubt that some heroes that were sensitive to its flow, such as Nighteye, would notice my actions. However, I would rather deal with some noisy heroes than live in a ruined house. After all, a man's character reflects in three things: how he treats others, how he treats himself, and how he treats his living environment. It was a philosophy I had always believed in and would eternally live by, regardless of the consequences.

I summoned my long-since familiar golden spatial gate, which, even after seeing it so much, still looked as beautiful as ever. From the gate emerged a mysterious contraption. It was composed of multiple metal wheels nestled within each other. The object closely resembled the ophanim, a class of celestial beings from Judaism, more commonly referred to as "the wheels." The wheels spun rapidly around a small, pitch-black orb. Upon closer inspection, the ball within the mechanism appeared to be a literal hole in space. The entire contraption emanated energy so deep that every animal within a five-kilometer radius fled, their instincts warning them of the danger present. As for the domesticated animals, they could only cry out in fear as they tried to warn their oblivious masters.

The mysterious object was unable to be grasped due to the rapidly moving parts. Instead, it hovered above my palm, its size about the same as a bowling ball, as it awaited my command. Not sure how to use this strange object, I tried talking to it.

"Restore my house to how it was, say, eight hours ago?

Immediately after I voiced my command, the strange device floated towards the middle of the room before hovering in place. Then, the wheels which made op the mechanism started spinning at a monstrous speed, creating after-images that made the device look like one large, shiny orb. Before I could be mesmerized by the beauty of this object, it started glowing with a white light so bright that, even with my enhanced eyesight, I had to cover my eyes. Finally, the light faded, and the wheels stopped spinning. The dangerous-looking hole in space at the center of the device was gone, replaced with a ball of what seemed to pure white energy. Before I could voice my confusion, the energy erupted outward, covering every inch of my house. Anything bathed in the strange energy started reverting to its previous state, and objects that were in pieces had the different parts float back to their former position, in a way that was similar to a video being reversed.

After a short while, the energy faded away, and the entire house had returned to how I remembered it. The artifact floated back to my hands, and I hurriedly returned it to my treasury, slightly fearful of its awesome power. I looked across the freshly restored house, pondering what the effects of messing with time in such a way were, but I quickly dismissed all such thoughts. Worrying about the unknown was useless, and in any case, I now had a holeless wall. Feeling good about myself and excited for the future, I quickly took a shower before getting some sleep.

The following day, as I arrived at the incredibly large U.A. building, I saw a sight that I knew was coming, but still was not looking forward to. At the gate of the fortress that was our school stood a large group of people I particularly disliked: Journalists.

As someone who valued truth above most things, I had always had a dislike for journalists. They were people who essentially held the power of truth, and they could manipulate it in any way they saw fit, usually for trivial purposes such as profit. Of course, as with every occupation, there were good ones amongst them, but I still did not like how mere humans could have such power, especially in a capitalist society.

Before my thoughts could get too political, I quickly dismissed them before sighing deeply and walking towards the gate. Because I was wearing a mandatory but admittedly stylish school uniform, I was quickly recognized by the press. Immediately, I was bombarded with questions.

"Hey, you! How are All Might's classes?"

"What is the symbol of peace like as a teacher?"

I had originally thought I could endure and quietly walk to my class, but I had reached the end of my patience quickly.

It was time to use violence.

A/N hey guys, sorry for the late chapter, again. my north-african mother was bugging me the entire day, and since I value my life, I could only comply with her wishes. also, thanks to whoever told me Tsuyu was best, I have since converted (her and headphonejack girl, shes underrated af). let me know if you find the development rushed, I thought it was pretty in tune with her character (In contrast to someone like Uraraka, who runs away at the thought of holding hands lol.) also, I couldn't proofread this chapter, since I'm going to a friends birthday, so excuse me for any mistakes. thx for the support, love yall <3
