In the afternoons, he focused on studying Kureha's medical books, devoting one to two hours to exchanging medical knowledge and experiences with her. He also made time to copy basic AHM books from his memory to share with her.
Through this regimen, not only did his body recover and grow stronger at a remarkable pace, but the days seemed to fly by.
In the blink of an eye, ten days had passed.

"I think my body has fully recovered!" she announced to Katsumi and Kureha.

Hearing this, Kureha set down the book she had been reading, while Katsumi paused his own practice to examine Kaori.
After completing their examinations, they nodded in unison.
"Yes, your body has indeed fully recovered!" Katsumi confirmed.
Kureha added, "Even with the help of the soul-warming potion, your lost soul essence has recovered to about one percent of the original loss. To fully restore the damage to your soul, you'll need to continue taking the soul-warming potion daily.
"Additionally, don't neglect your health-preserving exercises. Keep practicing consistently.

By now, Katsumi noted that his medical exchanges with Kureha had raised her favorability towards him to 64 points—a significant level. Despite their age difference, the two had developed a close friendship.
"Well, thank you, Ms. Kureha!" Kaori said with a respectful nod. "I'm truly grateful for your care during this time. However, I may not be around much in the future."
"Katsumi, I'll be leaving things in your hands," she added, glancing at him with a smile.
Katsumi's recovery was progressing steadily, but he estimated it would take another ten days or so to fully regain his strength.
"It's no trouble at all," Kureha replied with a casual wave of her hand. "This has been a mutually beneficial exchange, so there's no need to talk about who's taking care of whom!"
She wouldn't flatter herself.
After spending the past few days communicating with him, Kureha had made an important observation: despite his youth, Katsumi possessed a profound understanding of medical skills, particularly in Ancient Healing medicine. He was someone truly worth engaging with on a professional level.
But that wasn't the most striking part. What amazed her even more was Katsumi's rapid growth and learning ability.
In just ten days, not only had he made astonishing progress in Ancient Healing medicine—his area of expertise—but he had also absorbed a wealth of medical knowledge from Kureha herself.
Even Kureha, a seasoned expert, couldn't help but marvel at his comprehension and learning speed.

After explaining a few things to Kureha, Kaori pulled Katsumi into the room where he had been staying. She waved her hand, creating a soundproof barrier, and then spoke to him in a soft but firm tone:
"From now on, Mom will only have a small amount of time each day to come here and see you. You'll have to take good care of yourself!"
She paused before adding, "If you miss me, you can always come back to the Ninja World or use the Space-Time Gate to visit me."
"Okay!" Katsumi replied without hesitation. "I'll take care of myself!"
Then, as if anticipating her next move, he continued, "But, Mom, you can also start the reforms within the clan."
He spoke confidently, outlining his vision:
"Start with the Uchiha Guard and the clan school.
"For the Guard, select elites to form an elite unit and allocate a dedicated training ground for them to undergo intensive training.
"Hold regular combat competitions, provide ideological education, and encourage continuous learning.
"Improve their compensation and eliminate the burdensome and unproductive village patrols.
"To fill the gap in village patrols, openly recruit civilians or ninjas from other clans. These less critical tasks can be delegated to them.
"As for us, the Uchiha Security Department, we should focus on functioning as impartial judges.
"Establish an open trial department within the Security Department to handle disputes between villagers, allowing them to present their cases in court rather than bringing everything directly to us.
"This approach will significantly reduce misunderstandings and hostility toward our clan."
Katsumi's tone was measured but firm as he continued:
"For minor civil disputes—particularly trivial matters—distinguish them from cases that involve village security or human lives.
"Assign these minor cases to good-natured individuals within the clan who excel at mediation.
"Alternatively, recruit people from the village who are interested in these roles. Offer them positions, even captain-level ones, to attract the right candidates."
He took a moment before adding:
"All cases should be tried as fairly, justly, and transparently as possible.
"Install a large notice board outside the Security Department.
"For any closed cases that don't involve village secrets and can be made public, post the details on the board for a one-week notice period.
"Let those unreasonable and malicious individuals experience the consequences of social death."
"In short, the goal is to eliminate those trivial, offensive tasks that only create resentment while focusing the Security Team's elite on strengthening the clan's power. What do you think?"
After all, the situation couldn't be allowed to deteriorate further.
If things continued as they were, the Uchiha clan's reputation in the village would never improve—a result Katsumi couldn't tolerate.
In the future, he intended to control not only Konoha but the entire ninja world. This was the only way to fully capitalize on the potential of the Space-Time Gate's abilities.
As for disbanding the Security Department altogether?
It wasn't just a matter of whether the Third Hokage would agree to such a drastic move; even if they were willing, it wouldn't be feasible.
That approach would be the most foolish option.
The Security Department held tremendous power, with jurisdiction over key judicial functions such as arrests, patrols, trials, and imprisonment.
If leveraged correctly, this authority could serve as a critical counterbalance to the Hokage's power.
But to do so, it was crucial to shed the negative baggage weighing it down.
