Getting the unanimous agreement of his two teammates, Galen didn't waste any more time and asked Diana to help wake up the Flame Goblin.
In the hazy glow of the Primary Healing Technique, the Flame Goblin opened its eyes blankly.
He could not feel the rich and familiar fire elemental scent that permeated the dungeon. The Flame Kobold that came to its senses in the unfamiliar environment instantly became vigilant.
But before it could react further, Galen's big hand had already pressed on the top of his head.
The threat of death stimulated the Flame Kobold, its limbs were bound by ropes and it was unable to struggle, but the fiery red lines imprinted on its skin began to glow and heat up uncontrollably.
When the fiery red lines reached their strongest and the prelude spell of the Fireball spell was about to be formed, Galen staggered his hands and directly snapped the Flame Goblin's neck.
Unwilling resentment and pure flame power converged in those ripples.
Galen took out his knife and began to completely peel off the skin with the fiery red lines.
Galen's maneuvering stunned Ivo, who looked at Diana, the legal job girl, with inquiring eyes, trying to get a professional's answer.
Diana wrinkled her delicate eyebrows, ''Maximizing the stripping of the magical beast's supernatural abilities and some of its residual thoughts, are you trying to refine some kind of magic prop, Uncle? Or do you want to create skill scrolls? This kind of material can't be preserved for long."
"It's just preparing powdered milk for the child."
Galen didn't explain too much, the way he was concentrating on handling the materials was quite like a father preparing dinner for his child.
Skillfully gathering the materials, Galen left the Flame Goblin's corpse to his two temporary teammates and went back to the rented hotel room first.
The camp's inn was a merger of several small wooden buildings, and there was only a table and a crib in the house; as for the kitchen and washroom, they could only be found in the common area of each small building.
The simple accommodation environment also means low accommodation cost.
A night's stay here would only cost Galen seven copper coins.
And in that adventurer-heavy Byron Town, even the worst inns would charge ten copper coins per night for an overnight stay.
Fastening the lock on the door, Gaelen threw his traveling bag in the corner and spread the outer skin of the Flame Goblin on the only wooden table.
After such a short time, the light and heat emanating from those lines didn't seem as bright as before.
Galen grabbed the time to remove his own armor, and took off a mesh pocket from around his neck that was stored close to his body.
Inside the mesh pocket was a small, dark red egg lying quietly.
This egg was the size of a fist, and the egg shell was densely covered with dotted bumps, and just by looking at the texture, one could tell that the egg shell was very hard.
The dark red egg that was originally motionless, after being placed on the table, the small body of the egg gently shook, and actually took the initiative to close in on the Flame Goblin's epidermis.
The lines that condensed the extraordinary power of the Flame Kobold suddenly erupted with a new round of light, and then quickly dimmed again, slowly merging into the small dark red egg.
The dark red light emanated from the egg shell, rhythmically beating like a pulse.
Through this light, the figure of a huddled young dragon was reflected.
This was surprisingly a dragon egg!
Galen touched the pocket dragon egg's textured shell and encouraged, "Cheer up and dry your rice, and hurry up and take me to your mother when the shell is broken."
In order to raise this dragon egg, Galen had paid a lot.
It is also considered to be an adventurer, a model of success and retirement, Galen, sold his family property earned through birth and death, sold the manor with five acres of vineyards.
Once fine equipment, also sold very little left.
Although it cost a lot of money, Galen never bothered to consider whether it was worth it or not.
After all, what was contained in the dragon egg was his child.
It wasn't until the dragon egg matured, and the food needed became rarer and rarer, and harder to preserve.
It was only then that Galen had to pick up his backpack, take his shield, and get back to his old job.
In one adventure after another, to earn "milk money" for the child.
Taking off his linen shirt, which has been drenched in sweat for more than a few times, Galen's body is as fit as a classical sculpture.
Unlike most senior adventurers, Galen's body did not have many scars, only on the left chest and back, there were two old scars corresponding to each other.
Just by looking at the scar, one could guess that it was a penetrating wound.
It was hard to imagine how Galen had survived such a fatal wound in the first place.
Touching the scar at his heart, Galen softly recited:
"Onyxia ...."
That was the name of a certain gargoyle.
...
Early the next morning, Galen arrived at the carriage rental place as agreed.
Ivo was already waiting there early, a small carriage had been rented in advance by this young man of noble birth.
Ivo's handling was pretty solid and reliable when it came to things other than adventuring.
"Good morning, Elder Aldun." Ivo greeted warmly, and after Galen approached, he handed over a brand new shield to the other party.
The shield was in the shape of a kite, and its surface had been carefully polished to a lustrous finish.
"This is?" Galen asked.
Ivo explained, "Elder, the damage to your shield has something to do with me as well, so this is a bit of compensation from me."
Glancing at the shield, Ivo continued, "The weapon stores in the outpost camps are all too simple, this fine quality shield is already the best in the entire camp, I hope that senior won't mind it."
The price of a fine quality main hand weapon was usually between four hundred silver coins and five hundred silver coins.
The price of a defense weapon like a shield would be slightly lower, but it wouldn't be lower than three hundred and fifty silver coins.
Compared to Galen's original wooden small round shield that cost ten silver coins a piece, the difference was more than half a star.
Galen snapped his fingers and struck the front of the shield, making a dull "thud" sound.
As an adventurer specializing in shields, Galen quickly analyzed that this was a shield that had more than enough thickness, but not enough conduction.
Thickness meant that the shield itself was strong.
Insufficient conduction, however, meant that when subjected to a huge heavy blow, or the aftermath of an explosion.
This shield is unable to cushion the bearer of the shield to remove the force.
But this was not much of a problem for Galen, whose physique was strong enough to withstand fireball spells.
Galen nodded and said, "It's quite handy, thanks."
While the two were talking, Diana came out of the inn as well.
"Good morning Ivo! Yo yo yo, uncle has a new shield."
Because she had to go to the Adventurer's Union to submit a quest today, Diana spent some extra time on her makeup and dress up, and specially changed into the mage robes issued by the Magic Academy.
"The little girl is quite cute today."
Galen said the usual complimentary statements of the older generation.
Ivo was also slightly awed by the mysterious aura displayed by this mage teammate and averted his gaze somewhat unnaturally.
Diana was satisfied with Ivo's performance and subconsciously ignored Galen's praise.
After the three of them all boarded the carriage.
The horses were driven by the driver of the carriage rental company, and drove away from the outpost camp amidst the clattering of wheels.
