I said raising my hand high and forming a sword with my aura and sliced down
the monster this time didn't just get cut but he also got vaporized into thin air.
CLAP,CLAP,CLAP!!!
"what an amusing way of killing someone,you couldn't cut him so you burnt him to death and now he's nothing but vapour, clever thinking using the heat from the aura of your sword to fry him,but wouldn't it have been more easier if you had just sealed him"
Daui said clapping his hand while looking at the place his companion once laid before getting evaporated
"if you miss him that much I would be happy to take you to him"
moving closer and closer to the monster known as Daui, forming the aura of sword in my right hand
"Nah, I'll pass, and besides play time's over , I have to finish this soon before the master gets angry"
"wait you have a superior? who is he?"
I said my eyes widely opened
"and what does that matter to a dead man,If I don't kill you with my own two hands Sora soul won't rest in peace,not like I really cared about him to begin with,but .."
after saying that he touched the green hoody on the ground with his right index finger and a pillar of rock came growing in size steadily, he sat down on top of it putting the green hoody under his buttocks
"as you must have seen I am an earth magician, this fight is going to be a whole lot tougher than the last one since you're mostly close combat"
|....I hate to admit it but he has a point. Earth magicians are well known for their close combat superiority to other nature's and their long range techniques aren't that bad, a true master of the earth nature can use both long and short range techniques with accurate efficiency,no wonder he knew when Rachel, Emilia, Subaru and Ascimos left... |
"and oh, just so you know we are standing on pure soil which means you are technically in my terrain so I have the field advantage"
"sigh... you are gonna prove quite troublesome"
I looked up at Daui who by now was sitting on the Earth pillar with his legs crossed and his hand supporting his chin
"can't back down now, ready or not here I come"
...I ran towards the stone pillar but..
"tsk tsk tsk, that won't work"
suddenly I heard rumble noises coming from underneath the ground I reflexively stepped back and when I did, a second later another Earth pillar came out of the spot in which I had stood
"nice reflexes"
Daui said raising his glasses up with his index finger giving it a glint
I kept on moving forward but each time I did I was visited with a pillar of stone. it became so annoying that I started cutting up the pillars but something was off the pillars that I hadn't cut up were still standing and that's when an idea struck me
"wow,clever thinking rather than cut the pillars you're using them as a stepping stone to reach me"
Daui said while looking down at me.
His stone pillar was the tallest one there so he appeared to be looking down on me.
I kept on jumping off the stone pillar until I was about 5 feet's near him. Just when I was about to attack
Daui said something
"but what if I removed the pillars"
"wait ,what?"
before I knew it all the pillars started returning to the ground including the one I stood on,I had to use my hand to grabbed into the stone pillar Daui sat on inorder not to die from the height I was falling at until I safely reached the ground
as soon as I reached the ground his pillar also returned just like the others
"alright, play time's over"
he said walking off, leaving me behind
"hey where do you think you are going, we are finishing this fight whether you like it or not and I'm just getting fired up"
"listen old man"
he called out to me
"If I stay to fight you we both know you are gonna die,even old age make the most powerful warrior become humble,it was fun while it lasted but now it's good bye"
after saying that he vanished,no rather than vanished he moved so fast that it was hard for my eyes to follow him and then appeared in my back
"I forgot to tell you,I have 2 natural element the first one as you just saw is earth while the other is wind"
to prove his point he brought out his palm and on it was a lot of compressed air rotating together,
I tried to hit him with my arm but he dodge it by jumping up, falling vertically to the spot I was standing on he brought out the palm with the compressed air aiming it at my chest when it made contact the impact sent me flying.
I hit a bunch of trees before I finally stopped
"ugh, who knew that he was dual natured
(would think of a better name)"
I said coughing out some blood
"probably broke a rib or two"
I said to myself holding my chest with my hand
"hmmm,you should count yourself lucky a normal human won't survive that blast "
he said turning to leave but stopped to say something
"and before I go let me tell you this
my mission is to not only retrieve that key but also to kill those who protected it that means both of your daughters are dead, Hahaha".
he said ending with a maniacal laugh 😂
"take back what you just said about my daughters"
I said getting up slowly while coughing up a bit of blood
"and what will you do if I don't"
he said looking at me like a dog on it's last leg
"I 'm gonna kill you"
as soon as those words left my mouth and I looked into his eyes ,his expression changed,
I don't know if it was because I was feeling dizzy at the time but he seemed to have been afraid
but that expression left in a matter of seconds
"hmph,you seem to be forgetting something"
he said raising his glasses
"let me say it plainly, right now I am stronger than you"
he said that like as If it was the most obvious thing in the world
"oh we'll see about that, we'll see"
with the remaining mana I could muster I forced out all my aura and place it around my body. Right now I was looking like an old man dressed in an armour of larva and water and like that our fight begun.
I came at him first with my aura formed sword which I called the thousand blade ,aiming for his neck,but he bent down and as soon as he did a rock pillar came out to attack me but when it came in contact with my aura armour it melted. I continued attacking him relentlessly ,I had to finish this fast because in my current state this armour won't last for long.
Daui kept on dogding my attacks or blocking them with his earth magic it seemed the cycle would never stop until he said:
"I've got it, I know how to counter this troublesome armour"
after saying that earth started to surround his body and those earth had a tiny bit of rotating air in them
"if I use my wind and my earth to touch you,my wind can cool the larva a bit allowing my earth to do some damage,it may melt but it would hit you first, right?"
he said while dogding my attacks looking at me
"and why the heck would I tell you"
|...but he's right,oh my gosh I'm...
no,I have to believe in myself and besides i was going to run out of mana sooner or later so nothing's really changed...|
"from your answer I can assume I am correct,here I go then"
he then brought out his hand punching me in the gut with the earth , the earth melted but I still felt the impact while his hand escaped unscathed, sooner than later more earth surrounded his hand,but I didn't let that chance slide I quickly used my fist to punch him in the gut but he reacted fast enough to dodge it,I then bent down swinging my right leg to kick his left but he jumped up and was about to land on my shoulder when I used the momentum from the swing to push my body up kicking him in the chin (right there I looked like someone that just did a kind of dance move not yet invented) but he twisted his body so fast that the larva in my leg cooled down for a few seconds and he then stepped in the sole of my foot and leapt away. I quickly stood upright and turned back only to be visited by a blast of wind,I used my two arms to block it in the process but when I dropped my hands down he was gone, suddenly a crack came from underneath the ground and a hole appeared and out of that hole were rocks shaped in the form of a hand and it grabbed my left leg and dragged me down seconds later I found myself inside the earth with my head popping out. it was as if me and the hand had switched places but much to my dismay that hand turned out to be the hand of Daui.
"now just stay there like a good little boy" he said leaving me to go elsewhere,seconds later he came back with my broken sword in his hand.
"I'm gonna make this painless,all you have to do is close your eyes and it will be over in a sec"
he kept on coming closer holding to the broken sword in his hand but before he could reach me he stepped back, why? because the earth underneath us was becoming red as larva, making a rumbling sound and then I said.
"just because I'm close combat doesn't mean I don't know some long range attacks, it's just that they consume alot of mana which is something that I can't spare right now but if this is the end might as well use it all now"
and out of the earth came pouring out larva.
"this is the end"
all the larva started pouring straight at Daui, for a second there I thought he was dead but I soon realized only that won't be enough to kill him, I quickly got up from the earth and with the remaining strength I could muster I formed the aura sword made of larva and water
walking up to the place that Daui stayed,soon enough the larva that was pouring on him scattered all over us and the beautiful terrain we once knew as a plain land with grasses that stretches as far as the eyes can see became a land of boiling larva I then looked straight into the eyes of Daui and said
"you may have had the benefit of the terrain but that terrain has become my domain"
at this point my armour was gone and I was almost out of mana so it was all or nothing,Daui can no longer use his earth magic but he still had some of the armour on.
I ran towards him on the remaining land that hasn't yet been melted by larva swinging my sword at him which he blocked, the impact a powerful shock wave that was spread throughout the land, honestly I am surprised I could hold up this long without breaking my back, I kept on pursuing Daui attacking him with the sword but he blocked my attacks with the broken sword he picked up which was covered with both earth and wind and the part that were broken were filled up by earth and like that the climax to our battle begun.
