Edward stood on the pitcher mound looking nervous as he remembered Ascimos words that was spoken to him a few seconds ago
""Edward,what you are going to do is to close your eyes and let your instinct take over"
That was the exact words he had told Edward that and....he should try shooting the ball a little towards the 1st base
"I wished he had been more clearer"
💠"Now we have Edward as the first batter of the team in the second inning as the clock ticks for Ali the new pitcher to resume his play"
❇️"Please do know that there are only five starting pitchers on each team and the pitcher's clock gives the pitcher a time limit for his throw to be made"
"Well, I guess it's all or nothing then"
After saying that,I removed my glasses and placed it right into my pocket
|....trust your instincts...|
Taking a deep breath,I closed my eyes
❇️"And here comes another strike out?"
|....I can sense it,His stance,the pressure his right foot applies to the ground...|
(Please do note ,that Edward isn't using magic right now,he is just gifted with a good sensory ability,his magic just helps to increase his range)
|....I can feel it,Oscar is tightening his muscles on his leg to leap...|
|...I can feel it,Ali feet subtle movement tells me... he's nervous? he's about to pitch,but....|
💠"And Ali throws but Edward doesn't swing his bat?"
"It's a fake"
I smirked
❇️"And he gave them a ball,3 more of those and Edward will be walking to first base"
There were whispers from the crowd,on why Ali missed the strike zone
"I need to calm down, it's just a game"
Ali said to himself as he he relaxes a bit
💠"Wait,is Edward closing his eyes,he doesn't even ' see ' Ali as a threat...see what I did there👀"
❇️"Yeah,yeah,"
"Wait,what?!!!,he is underestimating me?"
Ali in anger took his stance
I will show him
"I will blow the roof off this place"
"Ali,no!!!"
Aunt Rachel called out from her position but it seemed that Ali was too furious to hear
he threw the ball at top speed
|...this is going to hurt....|
I swallowed a big gulp of the saliva as I brace my self for the impact
|...no way his ball is entering the strike zone...|
"Here it comes"
"Owwwww" Edward shouted as the ball hits him in the arm,it seems Edward shout was enough to get Ali out of his fury as he was brought back to his senses
"I am so sorry"
He shouted from the pitcher's mound
💠"Ouch!!! That must have hurt,why didn't he move?"
❇️"That's simple,Edward just got his team a hit by pitch, it's a situation where the pitcher hits the batter with the ball,the batter is then allowed to walk to the first base"
💠"That's good thinking,but would he still be able to continue,hope he isn't hurt"
Edward slowly got up and dust himself
*Crack*
"This glasses are new"
I said as I could fill the broken glasses with my left hand on the floor,
"Can you still continue?"
The umpired asked me
"Why yes,but I do need a new pair of glasses, may I see my team?"
The Umpire then raised up his hand to show that he can continue and also gave him one minute to see his team.
Ascimos from the dugout was already leaping for joy but a few seconds later he sat back down having realized he was happy that Edward was hit which could have gotten him hurt
Edward walks back to the dug out to ask for his glasses when he was welcomed with hugs ,
"I never knew you had it in you"
Mandy smiled staring into his eyes
"You were amazing Edward"
Lolita shouted excitedly
"Nice work out there "
Tony patted him in his back,while kaja was speaking gibberish which nobody understood cause he was half asleep and Priscilla and Gabe kept on hugging Edward for joy
Ascimos then brought out a new pair of glasses out of a case that he had kept in his pocket and placed it in Edward's hand
"Please next time, don't do something so rash that could get you injured"
Ascimos said
"I had a feeling I would escape unscathed so I took the risk,it was a calculated one"
I put my glasses on and took a sign of relief 😩
"Much better
"Way to go pissing Ali off,no way Rachel would have expected that"
Emilia put on a amused smile as she watched her sister from the sidelines
Meanwhile;
"I am sorry,I lost my temper"
Ali bowed down his head to Rachel in regret
Rachel took a step closer to him and touched him on the shoulder, whispering in his ear
"If you are really sorry,prove it on the field ,we are not done yet,have more restraint next time"
She said as she let go of his shoulder
"Yes ma'am"he replied
She faced the left field as she turned to winter
"You're up next, you ready?"
She asked
"I have been itching to go"
He replied
"Hey everyone "
She shouted,
"From here on out the game would be tougher so put our training into good use"
And they all shouted
"Yes ma'am"
❇️"It's time for Edward to head back to the field and make his way to the first base, and taking his place as the batter, coming up is Mandy"
💠"with that hit by pitch things are looking much better for team Emilia"
The crowd received Edward with cheers and round of applause as he made his way to the first base,he turned to their direction and waved as hey cheered him on
"Now it is my turn to shine"
Mandy said as she tightened her grip on the bat 🏏
💠"Ohhh,okay,I just got an announcement that there would be a change of pitchers on team Rachel, coming in their place is winter"
Wintered took a casual stroll towards the pitcher's mound
"My first time playing so please go easy on me"
With a strained smile he said from the pitcher's mound
"Don't worry,I will make it quick"
She winked at him as she prepared herself for his pitch
"Alrighty then,I guess?"
Winter said with a weird look on his face as he stared at the ball trying to remember something
"Wasn't it..."
Leaving the uncompleted sentence to himself he entered his pitching stance, ready to make a throw and unlike sir Withward who pitches with his left,he made use of his right hand
❇️"This is Winter's first major action on the pitch,what does he have in store for us"
He threw the ball at Mandy with medium speed
💠"It seems his ball is going out of the strike zone"
Aunt Rachel from her position upon hearing Layla's words smiled
|...when it comes to feint,no one can beat winter....
"Out of the strike zone,then I guess I shouldn't swing then"
I said to myself,it was only when I saw Edward who was desperately trying to reach out to me that I should be careful that I had realized my mistake,but alas it was already
"Too late"
Winter said as a grin formed on his face
The ball which seemed to be going out of the strike zone then curved right into Subaru's hand ⚾🧤
"Strike one"
The umpire let out a shout
"Oh,I see...so that's how it works,
Winter threw another pitch again and this time Mandy just held her bat in a singular position, Winters pitch curved and hit the bat and upon hitting It,she added a little force to it,towards the right field were Summer was ,the ball touched the ground as both Edward and Mandy began running towards their respective bases,
❇️"And both Edward and Mandy run to their succeeding bases,could this be it?"
|.....Winter isn't the only force to be reckoned with,his sister is also someone not to be underestimated....|
"With full force,Summer said as she the ball and threw it very fast towards Oscar
💠"What a nice throw,but isn't it too high?"
"Higher,higher,higher,with more force"
Oscar jumped towards the ball and caught it,gritting his teeth
He threw the ball back to Aunt Rachel in mid air who caught it flawlessly and with an impressive speed ran towards Edward
about to touch him with the ball
❇️"It looks like we are having our first put out for the match"
💠"Yes Master Rachel is about to touch Edward with the ball"
Ascimos:
|....wrong move,Edward can sense your movement to a scary degree...|
Aunt Layla was about to use the ball to touch Edward who was about to reach the second base when he stopped immediately and ducked,
|... That was expected,but i wasn't aiming for you...|
❇️"And Edward reaches second base"
💠"So she wasn't actually tryna touch him, she was actually throwing it?"
And the ball landed in Sir Wthward hand as he took the ball and was directly facing Mandy
❇️"It a speed show off"
"It already decided then"
Mandy smirked as she looked back at Sir Withward from the second base
"I won this one"
And like that ,the whole crowd went wild
💠"What an impressive burst of speed"
Everyone in the dug out shouted as they now have 2 people on the first and second base respectively
"Just as Ascimos planned"
Mandy looked at Ascimos who was cheering excitedly on the dug out as a feint smile formed on her face
|...so it's really Ascimos that is coming up with this plans,well then....|
Rachel smiled as she heard Mandy's words
❇️"And here comes the third batter,whose goes by the name Gabe, let's see if he can continue the current momentum the team has"
Gabe walked up to the field with an anxious look on his face
"I hope I don't let everyone down"
Gabe Said as droplets of sweat formed on his face
"Calm down Gabe,you've got this"
Gabe took a deep breath as he entered into a closed batting stance,
❇️"Gabe takes his stance which is a little different from the ones his other members makes"
💠"That's a closed batting stance,but would it be able to give him an advantage over Winter?"
"Now to swing it left, or right?"
Gabe took a deep look into Winter's eyes and began mumbling to himself
"Left? No right...left? It has to be right?"
Winter threw the ball at Gabe at high velocity
"Left? No right?!!!Left!!!"
Gabe ended up swinging the ball towards the center of the field
💠"He shoots it to the center field?"
❇️"Not just center but also very high,not even Oscar may be able to catch that"
It took a couple of seconds before the ball could get down and when it did Ali was there to catch it before it touched the ground
"Got ya" he said
💠"That's a put out then"
❇️"No, Look!!! "
The whole crowd turned their gaze back to the field and were surprised at what they saw
Back when Gabe hit the ball the whole crowd even some of the players were caught tracking the ball with their eyes waiting for it to come down,that they didn't realize the time Gabe,Mandy and Edward had run to the 1st ,2nd and 3rd base respectively
The Umpire whose eyes were on the field the whole time confirmed that Gabe, Mandy and Edward had made it to their respectively bases before the the ball was caught and as soon as he confirmed it,the whole crowd went wild
💠"That's amazing, what a wonderful ball"
Ascimos sat down on his sit with a smile on his face
"Gabe was so indecisive about his shot that he ended up batting the ball at a very high distance,which helped increase the time it would take for the fielders to get to it"
"One more hit and it's home run right?"
Emilia asked her son excitedly
"Yeah"
"Kaja, it's your turn"
Ascimos poked him in the cheek to check if he was awake,
"I heard you,no need to do that"
Kaja said with a sleepy voice as he yawned and strotted(walked confidently) towards the field
💠"And here comes the sleeping worker,Kaja?"
❇️"And that's no joke,Kaja is the only worker in the whole estate that can sleep while he works"
"What a nice skill"
Winter said as he looked at Kaja enviously
Kaja stepped on the home plate and took a square stance ,he seems to be snoring still yet he could continue the play 😪
"Is he sleeping?,no need for a feint then?"
Winter questioned but putting the thought aside he threw the ball at top speed to Kaja,it seemed as if the ball was going straight to the catcher's hand when Kaja with full force swung his bat and the ball was sent flying far
❇️"Is that"
💠"That's right,it an HOME RUN!!!"
Layla shouted as the whole crowd stood up cheering for joy,as Edward Mandy Gabe and Kaja all ran to the home plate with their unique style, Edward dashing as if the ball was coming back,Mandy jogging as she hummed,Gabe just running normally and Kaja walking,upon getting to the home plate Kaja turned back with his hands in his pocket and said confidently to Team Rachel,this time his bangs not hiding his eyes
"That's 4 points"
Rachel turned back to try to make sure no one would over react to His words but it seemed the team was all hyped up,with new found resolve glowing in their eyes,
All of the Team Emilia players on the field walked back to the dug out in style as they were received with shouts and cheers from their team mates
"Nice work out there guys"
Ascimos said as he smirked
"But the real battle has only just begun "
Subaru's POV:
So here I am, in the dug out sitting peacefully just watching the game, minding my own business, I never was once really into baseball, so I never played the game but since it's my last day before I leave for the imperial academy, I decided to give it a shot and also mostly because this is Ascimos first time playing as well .
We are the ones who are batting now, with uncle Withward going first

I said subconsciously
I turned to my left hand side to see my mom with her eyes totally fixed on the game
|... I feel, just a day with my mom would have been more enjoyable than this, but if she's happy, then I'm happy.... |
Having decided that since I was playing I would try to enjoy the game as much as I can, I turned to the field as I also began observing the match
"hey Subaru? ''
" yeah, mom? "
❇️" and they face off, each one having a different thought in mind"
"I was meaning to ask"
💠"and here it comes"
"are you enjoying this match up?"
Mom asked as she, for the first time turned her gaze from the field towards me
"to be honest, 😅No"
❇️"uhhh😲, and that's strike one"
"okay,can you tell me why then?"
💠"well, there's still a chance to recover from that, let's see how it plays out"
"you see...."
I began to speak as I stopped in the middle of my sentence to take a deep breath
❇️"why hasn't he taken action yet, the time is almost up"
"I would have really appreciated it more, if it was just a normal day with you and me talking"
💠"and he shoots"
"oh, really?"
❇️"and that's strike two"
"yeah"
I replied
💠" here comes the final throw, can he make it count"
"then why didn't you say so?"
❇️"and the pitcher braces himself up for the final throw"
"you looked so happy organizing the game, that I just didn't want to get in the way"
💠"the batter also seems to be preparing himself"
Mom then took me by the hand and held it close to her face
❇️"and the pitcher shoots"
"remember, you're my son, you can tell me anything, besides I mostly went about organizing this because I thought it would make you happy,so right now, let's not play to win, but let's play to have fun"
"together, okay?"
I became a bit amused by how lovely my mom looked at flinting moment. I could tell she meant every word
" yeah"
I replied
💠"and the batter sends the ball flying"
"but you do need to look at the field to come up with our next plan"
I said as I chuckled
"nah.... I will just ask Sir Withward to take over the game plan when he comes back"
"oh also, I have been meaning to tell you something"
I said as I removed my hand from my mom's own
"what is it?"
She asked
2 hours 35 minutes later:
"E-mi-lia, E-mi-lia!!!!"
"Ra-chel, Ra-chel!!!"
The game is almost reaching in climax and we have half of the crowd cheering on team Emilia and the other half Team Rachel
❇️"We are in the last inning of the match, and we have team Rachel batting while Team Emilia pitches"
💠"refence to the scoreboard should be made for their respective points, which is being displayed on the screen"

💠"we have a total accumulated points of 20 from Team Emilia, in order for Team Rachel to win, they would need to acquire 3 points, what are your thoughts on this Lia?"
❇️"from what we have been seeing, it would be hard to predict who might end up winning the match with each team evolving and countering the other team game style in different rounds that they seem to almost be in a stalemate, so personally I have no tight suggestions on who may win"
Rachel went off to the batting position as she faces off against Emilia who was the current pitcher
💠"and we get a little bit of sister rivalry here, as we see both Sisters facing off against each other for the first time in the game"
Rachel and Emilia didn't speak a word to each other as Emilia threw the ball at Rachel with a very great speed
❇️"woah, that's fast"
And just as quickly had Emilia thrown it had Rachel hit it with the bat, for seconds the ball kept on spinning on the bat and Rachel kept on applying more force to her swing, she eventually ended shooting the ball into the field but at the cost of her bat, The ball zoomed into the center field passing right through every body were it met Lolita,

Knowing fully well she couldn't stop it she deflected the ball towards kaja on the left field
"nice thinking"
He said as he deflected it towards Mandy on the right, who deflected it towards Tony in the short stop position,having deflected the ball and reduced its momentum Tony was able to catch it with a fair amount of strength and in the nick of time before Rachel could get to first base
❇️"and all that happened in 3 seconds?"
Rachel kept on breathing heavily, as she was this close 👌 to first base,
"So close!!!"
She said as she turned to her sister
"EMI, do try to reduce your strength just a bit, okay?"
She put on an angry expression on her face
"but you still hit it, so it's all okay"
Her sister replied
"ugh... Just make sure to take it easy on the others"
Knowing it was a waste to get mad at Emilia she went back to her dug out as another player came in for her with a new bat
All the players watched Rachel in shock as they were surprised she could hit such a ball
💠"that was a spectacular show of strength from both Madam Rachel and Madam Emilia, I would be proud if I was either one of them "
The next batter(Kim) stepped on the home plate

Kim entered his stance, as he stared at Emilia who just gave him a puzzled face and tossed the ball at him, Kim was so caught up in making an expression that he swung the bat not realizing that Emilia threw the ball away from the strike zone
"Strike one"
The umpire shouted
Kim entered his batting posture again a he readied himself for the next ball, this time more focused, Emilia tossed the ball again with minimal effort but this Time he was able to hit it, and he did towards Ascimos who was on the 3rd base as he began to run
|.... I know hitting it towards the others will reduce my chances of success, so hitting it towards Ascimos is my best shot at winning this... |
Ascimos took the ball from the ground and threw it towards Gabe on the 1st base, he was about to touch Kim with the ball when he slipped and fell due to stepping on the drops of sweats that were on the 1st base
❇️"and like that, Kim makes it to the first base"
💠"don't forget with a bit of luck, if Gabe hadn't slipped Kim would definitely be out right now"
Kim jumped in joy as even he was surprised he made it
"I am so sorry"
Gabe told Ascimos who came to help him up
"no problem, it wasn't your fault anyway, we'll get the next one"
Ascimos reassured Kim, but the next batter Sir Withward came and he was able to get a run to his base, this was mostly due to the fact that Emilia though she did not use minimal effort, threw the ball quite in a very predictable manner, Ascimos seeing that things are not looking good, told his mother to take his place on the 3rd base as he would replace her as the pitcher
The umpire announced the change as Ascimos took his position on the pitcher's mound
💠"This is the final play of the match and we are about to find out the winner as the new batter for Team Rachel reaches the home plate"
❇️"And the new batter is surprisingly Subaru"
"I guess it's time for the main character to take up the stage, ain't that right pitcher?"
Subaru held the bat with one hand on his shoulder as he pointed to the pitcher who was none other than Ascimos
"and who said you were the main character"
Ascimos asked as he held one of his high brow high🤨
"no one did or are you assuming that I am?"
Subaru asked as he brought his bat down from his shoulder
"sigh 😔, let's just get this done quickly"
|... Arguing with him would just waste my time.... |
Subaru did a silly face to him as he poked his tongue out 😋 and entered his batting stance
💠"this is Subaru's first time playing a batter in the game, I am wondering why he is being put in as one now"
❇️"maybe it's a new strategy,or maybe he's a secret weapon that was kept in reserve for when it most counted"
Ascimos raised up his left leg and held the ball with both of his hands as he raised it up towards his face, ready to pitch,
"his stance, somewhat tells me he may strike to my left, but that is why I kept mom and Kaja at the 3rd base and left field respectively, Tony should already be analyzing the game too, so even if he hits it, we should be safe but what if.. .."
Ascimos kept on mumbling to himself when
"❇️"the pitcher's time is almost up"
"oh that is right"
He realized as he threw the ball with a good swing towards the batter
Subaru smirked as his bat made contact with the ball
"wasn't it like this..... Ascimos? "
He asked as a smirk formed on his face, as he shot the ball high into the air
💠"isn't that?"
❇️"just like Gabe?!!!"
And just as in Gabe's the whole crowd tracked the ball, some even placing bets on how high it would go, but the ball kept on going higher and higher, even higher than Gabe's and in 16 seconds later it came back down right where the home plate was and as it did Kim, Withward and Subaru had all made it to the home plate
"SAFE!!!"
the umpire announced
As all of the crowd stood up in celebration, even though some of them were voting for team Emilia they could all agree it was a good game, the whole team from Team Rachel's dug out ran towards Subaru and lifted him up shouting his name
💠"and we have our Winners!!!!!!!!,Team Rachel !!!"
Layla shouted at the top of her lungs
❇️"but remember, everyone deserve a good applause as they all did their best"
As for Team Emilia, each one of them wore a sad expression on their face and of all of them Ascimos was the saddest who was down on the ground as balls of tears dropped down from his eyes
"hey don't feel down, we did our best"
Emilia told her son as she tried forming a smile for him, the rest of the team members also gathered round him each one cheering him up
Subaru upon seeing what was happening came down from the hands of those who were carrying him and walked towards Ascimos
"hey, nice game, he brought out his hand to shake Ascimos
" Ascimos dried his eyes and stood up
"sorry, as your coach I am supposed to be the cheering you guys up, not the other way around"
"and also, the captain"
His mom added as she embraced him in a hug as the other members began to laugh softly
"next time we'll win for sure"
He said confidently as he returned Subaru's hand shake🤝
"sure"
Subaru replied
And everyone all went back into the mansion for the after party, leaving Subaru on the field

Subaru thought as he stared at the sun setting
"hey, you coming?"
Ascimos yelled from were he was
"yeah, yeah, coming"
He smiled as he walked back into the mansion
In the mansion:
The after party was being held with everyone conversing about how nice the game was, special sits were kept aside for officials, players and commentators who each got a chance to comment on the game
Lolita who was carrying a bucket of wings came and sat beside Edward
"Uhhhh😩,I'm beat,I couldn't even get any score at the end of the match"
She whined
"Keep,it down,some people are trying to sleep "
Tony said as he turned his gaze towards Kaja which made everyone to laugh
"But we all tried,one thing I learnt was that,we all had a role to play in the game,which was utilised to a great degree"
Mandy added with her hands crossed
"And that's all thanks to Ascimos"
Gabe said confidently,this time not questioning himself
"Speaking of Ascimos,were is he?"
Tony asked turning to Edward
Edward understanding why said
"He went back inside,I asked and he said he was feeling really tired"
"What?!!! He should be here with us, eating"
Lolita said
"You all look so happy,I didn't even get a chance to bat or pitch,at least be grateful ,but since I was the one with the least action on the team,I think it's best I be the one to call him"
Priscilla said , feeling dejected at a corner
"Wait,who are you?"
Tony asked with a puzzled face
"Why you!!!"
And that seemed to have provoken Priscilla as she got ready to tackle Tony
"Y'all,keep it down"
Emilia said calmly from her sit, 🪑 as each one of them became orderly in an instant
"I will gi and call him"
Emilia said as she got up from her sit to go look for Ascimos
"We're you going?"
Rachel asked her sister
"To look for Ascimos "
She replied
"Oh,I will be joining you,I am also wondering were Subaru is"
They both walked towards the hallway and ended passed a few places and ended up at the door Infront of Subaru and Ascimos room,upon opening it,they saw Ascimos and Subaru both sleeping with Ascimos head on Subaru and Mits on Ascimos lap
"Let's leave them be?"
Emilia asked
"Yeah"
Rachel replied as they locked the door silently and went back to the party
Few minutes ago:
"Oh!!! So now you come out"
I held Mits up close
"I thought you promised you were going to be the mascot,now because of you we lost,where were you?"
Mits gave no reply as the cat simply shaked itself off my hand and leaped unto the bed,as she nod her head as if to say
'you coming?'
"At least a sorry would have been nice"
I decided to sit on the bed with my back facing the wall,as I began stroking
"She can't say sorry, she's a cat"
Subaru came out of the bathroom with a towel on
"She may be just a cat, but I have a feeling she should be intelligent enough to be able to know how to say sorry even without wording it out "
I carried Mits and placed her on my lap, at first she fought against it
"I won't disturb you about the mascot thing again"
she stopped fighting back upon hearing what I had said
Subaru also joined us on the bed after he was done dressing up as he ruffled my bluemix with red hair
"I do remember the time when you two were always fighting'"
"Yeah, but the hate mostly came from me though "
Believe it or not,me and Mits weren't always this close.
It was about a year ago a when Mits and I were not on good terms.
My mom who hardly ever spends time with me for some reason unbeknownst whenever she was at home always spends he time taking of Mits like she was her second child,it was on a faithful day when Mits was sick that things started to change
About a year ago :
"*😷*Cough*cough*"
I was walking past my mom's room when I heard those sounds, thinking it was my mom I decided to enter
"So it's just you"
I realized that it was actually Mits that was coughing and boy does she look sick
"If I knew it was you I wouldn't have bothered coming here"
Mits seemed like as if she was desperate to tell me something but I didn't bother to listen
I turned back to take my leave when an
Idea strucked me
"You know,I have been getting pissed at your presence lately,and that's talking much cos I am just Five"
I took Mits from were she was lying as a devilish smile appeared on my face
"I guess I can finally take care of the Pest problem in the house"
At that time , Subaru was no where to be seen since we were playing hide and seek,as for mom and aunt Rachel,i wasn't expecting them to show up any time soon,so this was a golden opportunity to take care of the cat problem
|... besides, who's gonna miss you? Definitely not me....|
I dashed straight to the window.Having checked if the coast was clear I held Mits outside
"Say your last prayers"
Before I could let go,a force came from behind and before I could see who it was the person turned me around and gave me a big slap on the face,I later saw that it was my mom.
Upon slapping me,she took Mits from my hand and quickly ran to her drawer ,on getting there she picked out a few pills from a container and gave it to Mits
"Is something wrong with you?"
She shouted at me
"See, I knew it..."
I said as tears began to form on my eyes
"Answer my question young man"
My mom barked

|...I know that as someone that was technically a man before, I shouldn't be saying such,but I couldn't help it.... besides,I hadn't gotten my complete memories yet....|
I began to shed alot of tears as I ran out of the room leaving my mom,
Few minutes later my mom found me were I was hiding which was in the kitchen, inside the store,she joined me to sit down on the floor
"Ascimos why did you say such a thing?"
My mom asked but I didn't give her a reply
"Ascimos?"
She called out but still yet,no reply
*Meow*
I turned upon hearing the meow sound to see Mits who looked much better than she did a few moments ago
"Did you have to bring the cat?"
I asked
"*Chuckle 🤭*now you answer..."
She placed Mits off her lap and touched me on the shoulder
"See...Mits is like family..."
"What am I then?"
I said angerily as I shook my shoulder to shake off her hand
Upon realizing I had just raised up my voice to my mom I turned to face her took a deep breath and said
"I am sorry"
Feeling embarrassed I swiftly turned my head to the other side
Mom took a deep breath and brought me close for a hug 🫂
"You didn't let me finish,yes, she's like family,but you are my son,among everything else,I prootize you the most"
"Then why do you hardly have time for me?"
I obviously knew why,just wanted to stay with her a bit longer before she goes since I hardly get to ever be this close with her
"Momma has to do a lot of work so she can put food for you on the table, it's alot like when the momma bird leaves her nest to find food for her youglings "
She drew me back and placed a kiss on my forehead
"So don't cry, always remember that your mummy loves you"
She said as she ruffled my hair
"Thanks mom"
"But what you were about to do was too rash though"
"Yeah I know,I am sorry"
"Not to me,to Mits "
She said as she pointed to Mits
"Oh"
I turned my face to Mits direction and said
"I am very sorry"
Mits stood up from were she was and leaped to my lap
"Since ,you are so busy looking after Mits,why don't I take your place ,so you will have more time for me"
I proposed to my mom who found the idea good and agreed to it
"Okay,but let's go sleep,would you mind joining me tonight"
Mom asked
"No,I don't ,let's go"
I replied
"By the way why did you come home early?"
I asked
"Oh,I had a feeling you were about to do something foolish "
My mom replied
"Oh,I see..."
I stood up as I took Mits with me heading to my mom's room
"Just joking,I forgot to carry something important"
She said a she stood up and followed me
Meanwhile:
"There's no way Ascimos is finding me here, definitely no way"
Subaru whispered from his hiding spot were he tried his best not to make a noise
12 hours before Subaru heads to the imperial academy
