Toto is a rather kindhearted and generous man, willing to help travelers to Yuba without a second thought, in spite of the city's massive shortage of water.
Due to extreme starvation and thirst, he is severely weak, but his determination to bring Yuba back to Its Glory is what pushes him forward.
"Oh, I see.." I smile at him, seeming like I am listening to his stories, but I am analyzing His Information to Determine when.. I am in the timeline.
'This place is covered in Sand, and He is Skinny, so... It might be during the 3 years Crocodile Started His plan' I began to speak, continuing My Questioning.. while Normally I wouldn't immediately Seek Out information right after such a groundbreaking reveal, Gamer Mind has made me... Accept the situation I am in... Kinda.
"So, anyways... When did...This Happen anyways?" I look around us, a building full of sand.. and Toto understands My Unspoken Question..
"Well.. Our Town was Bustling with Life just a couple of Years ago... Unfortunately, 3 years ago, Sandstorms Started Hitting This place.. and Our Water Dried up, causing Travelers to stop Coming here, and The residents Of Yuba... Relocated somewhere else... Even...my son. I am the one still here." He looks down, and I feel guilty ( a little) for making him remember his life, but... I need information.
'so... 3 years ago.. and since this place is still like this, meaning that...Crocodile wasn't defeated yet. The StrawHats With Vivi are coming here... Any Day now'. While figuring out where I am in the timeline is really good for the first step... Knowing there is a possibility that I might get stuck in something I cannot Handle, is not. Plus, the Old man is still sad... So I gotta cheer him up too.
"You believe That there is Water still in this buried Sand right? That's the reason why you are digging.. right Sir?" I grin at him, knowing that with his surprised Expression, I have successfully distracted him from his thoughts about the past.
"Yeah... There is Water in this City.. I will Find it at any cost and I Will Make Yuba Great again." He gets fired up, grabbing his Shovel with Intensity.
"So.. we should find it soon." I grin at him again, shoving my Shovel into the ground, picking up the hand with all my might... I gotta say, digging is one hell of a difficulty to a normal man with no prior experience.
Toto looks surprised for a couple of seconds, but then... he smiles, and without saying a word, he Continues Digging.

'What should I do?' I pick up Sand.. but notice that it is easier to do it, due to Increased STR.
'If The Gang and Vivi haven't Come through here, then... Will I get to meet them?' I throw Sand to the Side, continuing My digging work
'If I meet them... Then..will i Join them?' while these are hypothetical Scenarios right now.. I need.. to be prepared.. since I am in a world where I know what the rules are.

I will go to where Crocodile is, learn the truth about what he is doing, and go to the capital... fight the rebel army AND the royal army, since both have spies in them.. and i ain't fighting no Baroque Work's members. I'll leave that to the main crew.. i'll level up by.... beating the shit out of Spies from both sides.. but how do I-' i look at the Shovel, and figure out the way to beat the shit out of people. i give a mental apology to Toto for stealing his Shovel... but, It is what it is.
'I will eventually go with them to Jaya... and... I will stay in the background for the majority while defeating fodders and leveling up and gaining skills.. I might eventually reach a point where I can confidently stand beside the "Monster Trio".. but that's in the future.

And just like that, I think about all the arcs and saga in one piece, thinking of ways to affect them... affect them so minimally that my future knowledge does not become useless... since the Saying "Knowledge is Power" is true after all... especially in this case.
During this, my stat and my skill Level were rising, but I didn't notice... since I had Muted the notification Sound.... I only hear the sounds when I level up, or I get a new skill... so, for the next hour, my STR stat increases along with the DIGGING skill.

"It doesn't matter. I can do it again. since you are here now, you need to get inside." wait... sandstorm? the one which Crocodile sends to this island for shits and giggles?... Damn... I slowly climbed up, slipping a few times.. but eventually climbed out of the 10 Feet hole I dug up.
I follow Toto into an abandoned Building.. where we sit in a fireplace... with food Toto bought from... somewhere. We eat while bracing for the sandstorm, and.... it does not disappoint.
The sandstorm is powerful. like, house-ripping powerful... Even inside, the Effects of the sandstorm are evident.. the gust of air almost throws me off my seat... if i didn't hold it with my dear life... the building shakes, like it is gonna rip itself off... and all i can think in my Gamer Mind induced mindset is-
'If this is What Crocodile does for Shits and Giggles, just... how strong Full Power Crocodile is?'
an answer that i might possibly never get the answer for.
Eventually, the sandstorm calms down... and Me and Toto come out of the building.... Toto looked like the entire experience was of no significance to him... like, he isn't affected by the fact that all the hard work he did to dig a hole to find the water... is all gone. Toto picks up his Shovel and starts digging... again.
he looks like a chad honestly at this point.
i.... shrug, knowing what I have to do. I walk up to My side of the area and grab my Shovel... and start digging into the Sand... to find the water. Toto Looks at me gratefully, i nod at him.... and we start doing our respective digging.
'on the topic of digging.' I opened up my Status Page and Skill Page... and I found that my STR went up by 3 while My Digging Skill went up a whole 9 Levels, resting at Lv10.
'nice... so according to my plan... all i have to do... is wait for the Strawhats to come here.... and until then.... might as well Grind my STR up.' with my Course of action decided... i-

'huh?' I look at the system message, confused... a quest.. at this moment in time? i click on it, expecting the details-
WORK TILL THE MEET
Work in the inhabited City Of Yuba in search of Water... until your Destined "meetup" with some "special" people. the harder you work, the stronger you get... and better the rewards.
There is more to this quest than it seems. so, try as hard as possible.

' What kind of quest is this? sub quests inside the main quest?' it is kinda weird that... When I decided to do a course of action... a quest pops up.
If I remember correctly, Jihan Han received Quests From Gaia, who gave him his power... but for me, who is the one giving the quests? is it either Mr -NOTHING- or... Gaia? like.... Gaia from this earth. since Gaia is commonly known as a name for Earth.. it might be possible that Mr - NOTHING- gave the system admin rights to This World's Gaia.
' No point in thinking about it' I shake my head... and click on Y, accepting this quest... though, the Failure is kinda... specific... it shouldn't matter since that Scenario was a Big IF anyways.
I started digging the sand.. trying to make a new hole and get water... while also leveling my skills and increasing my Stats.
ONE WEEK LATER
a week went by... pretty weirdly in fact. My experience in this world was... dangerous to say the least. The sandstorms are one hell of a shit to deal with.. plus, raising stats is a little difficult just by Digging... so i had to start training my body as Per How The Gamer himself Did in the manhwa. the Training regiment was-
100 PUSH-UPS!
100 SIT-UPS!
100 SQUATS!
AND, A 10 KILOMETER RUN!
Well, I didn't do all of it in one go. even in my previous life, i could do 10 Pushups Continuously at most... So, i did-
10 PUSHUPS, 10 SIT-UPS, 10 SQUATS, AND A 1 KM RUN...yeah i am weak.. but Gamer System really helped me grow stronger.

I learned this skill when I was practicing by Swinging my shovel... again, it is best to be prepared for any reason in this world. since, who knows what might happen at any time-
"finally!" i hear a cry of joy from outside the hole, so i climb up from the 30 feet hole i dug in the sand to go to Toto who-
"Finally... after all these years..!!" there are tears in his eyes, and in his hand.. he is holding a scoop of... water.
"you got it.!" I grinned at him. happy that he finally achieved what he is looking for... water, in this ruined land. I walked over to him, seeing the hole he created being filled with the water he dug. Toto drinks the water from his hands... sighing in joy and relief... i take a handful of water to drink as well and-
"UMAI!" he screams, startling me a little, his eyes swell up in tears, and he starts crying while drinking the water from the small pond that has been formed... I've been drinking it with him too since... I am thirsty as hell...
"huh?" I look up, feeling the wind getting stronger... knowing what is gonna come, I get up and warn Toto.
"Mr Toto, a Sandstorm is coming... we need to take cover." Staying here with Toto for a week has let me learn about when... and where the sandstorms will come from... if the wind starts picking up... there is a possibility of a storm... but in Yuba.. it is 100% guaranteed, a storm is coming. Toto isn't getting up from his position, continuing to drink water.
"Mr Toto, please get up. we can dig up this place later." he still isn't moving.. so i have no other choice but to grab him and yank him towards the building... but he starts struggling...

with my Observe at Lv 9, i am able to see Other peoples Stats and their emotions.. and this Starved man has an overall strength than me... i am still weaker than a starved man... but still, due to him being overwhelmed, i am able to use my entire strength to drag him inside.... just before the sandstorm hits. I scoop up a jug full of water and drop it in my inventory just before I close the door.
When I first felt the sandstorm in this place a week ago... I feared for my life, and if I didn't have Gamer Mind, I would have been scared the entire time... but now, I don't fear it... that much. I am still affected by it, but not to the point of getting thrown away by the wind.. I can hold my ground enough.
Mr Toto finally snaps out of his circumstances and throws me a grateful look, which I give him a thumbs up for. During this month, me and him have shared a lot of information, mostly him ( and ME lying 90% of the time, that's why My Bullshitting skill has increased )... we grew closer and... both of us see each other as friends...
Eventually, the Sandstorm settles, and we go out to continue digging. our daily routine consists of:-
waking up, Digging, eating, Digging, Hiding from Sandstorms, Digging, and going to sleep.
Every single day of the week, the sandstorm hits... and all our precious work goes to shit. but, with me waiting for my Quest to be over... and his motivation to make Yuba great again, we keep doing it.
I grab the shovel that I have been using the past week, and start digging, but that's when I see something in the corner of my eye.. specifically, on the map. i open it and-
' i see..... 8 gray dots... coming to this town' in the week i was here, i explored what is there in the town... and i covered most of it, registering it in my Map.... which allowed my Map to have a larger reach than before, so... now that people are entering in this town, my Map is able to detect it.
' Is it them?' I look at the place where they will come from, stopping my digging. Toto looks at me, stopping and asks me what happened.
" it seems we have visitors?'' I point to a building, and from its side... silhouettes come... one which seems to be... mounting on... something, a camel maybe.. then... 4 people walking... one carrying.... something, and lastly... an animal, a Reindeer In Fact.
'it is them!' I start getting excited since I recognise them... how could I not? I watched over 1000 episodes over 20 minutes long... i.e, over 430 Hours of these people who ride in this dangerous world with their Ambitions.These Are The-

"You bastards are here for that stupid rebel army huh?" He throws....can? Where the fuck did he bring this from? I look around from where he is grabbing things and throwing them at them and...
There is nothing. All he is doing is grabbing Air and.... Things just pop up which he throws at the group.
"Wait.. you have the wrong idea-" A guy.... With a straw hat speaks up, holding his hand in front, trying to Stop Toto... But He gets Hit by a wooden Can in the face.
"You bastards-" I decide... This is the time to intervene in this situation.
"Calm down, Mr Toto. That girl over there... Is Nefatari Vivi, the Princess' ' I speak up, making Toto Stop and... The StrawHats to become Surprised.
