Capítulo 23: Hobson's choice!
After dawn falls, the Emperor and empress are already prepared for the meeting concerning dethroned Princess Sakura.
Daisuke is not pleased deep down with his decisions, he still wish Regent Aoi can withdraw his decisions.
Queen Hazel was prepared for her morning task, she kept an eye on the Emperor and Reina. The task can only be successful if Reina exits her room.
As the queen of late Emperor Eiken, her formal rights to interfere in the political and imperial aspect of the dynasty.
"Ready to go?" Reina asked enuch sawyer with a smirk on her face.
At the imperial hall, Queen Hazel was standing before the throne beside king Shigeto, hand in hand un her dress.
"My lord, I think it's high time we execute lady Sakura." Reina said with a bold voice.
"Your majesty we are just proving points without evidence." Queen Hazel turned around revealing the letter.
General Kenji and Akio bulged their eyes Looking at their father.
"Regent sir." General Kenji whispered.
"This letter was written and stamped by the Empress, how come this was found in her treasure box."
"Reina your game is over, you did that to implicate my princess."
"Your majesty, I am sorry to Tell you that Reina has committed treason and must suffer for it." Governor ziachi stepped out.
"The entire palace has had enough of the Empress nonsense. If someone is to be executed, it should be the empress." Governor Eren Said.
"Eren, are you aware of what you are saying? You are indirectly accusing my daughter."
All eyes stared at the empress, the Empress Dowager felt a sense of relieve from all stress. It seems the god aidoru has answered her prayers, she placed her middle finger on her forehead and both sides of her chest with her eyes closed for a moment.
"Your majesty, those snakes release are not controlled naturally. I guess someone is controlling them with a talisman." The Queen said staring at the empress.
"To clear all suspicions from everyone's mind, I will give court lady Tsmugi the command to thoroughly investigate Empress Reina's chambers." Emperor's Daisuke said with an assuring smile on his face.
" I will do as u please your majesty." Tsmugi bowed before the throne.
Tsmugi walked majestically to the empress chambers with great assurance that she is going to find the talisman. Empress Dowager and Reina immediately followed her, deep down Reina knows she is doomed.
Tsmugi ordered the servants to inspect every inch and corner of the room, she knows quite well reina hid the talisman right under her bed.
To avoid suspicion and any form of implications, she first of all checked the irrelevant places.
chiemi intentionally broke the Empress flower vase out of anger, because she knows nothing can be done about it.
Lastly, the room was inspected carefully and thoroughly, no talisman found anywhere. All servants gathered behind Tsmugi with thier heads down as a sign of respect, except chiemi her friend.
"Our lady, we can't find the talisman anywhere." All servants echoed.
"You see, your curiosities are wrong." Reina said without a smirk.
"There is absolutely nothing you can use against us, we are among the regent's clan and he is on our side." Mei said with a frown.
"Wait a moment! Lift her bed!" Tsmugi said with her fingers gesturing as the servants were about to move out.
"What!" The Empress almost lost her balance, her court lady mei grabbed her.
"With out hesitating, chiemi lifter the empress mattress.
"Here is the talisman." Chiemi shouted.
"Your game is over Empress Reina." Tsmugi Collected the talisman wavering it at Reina.
"I am doomed, get my Father! Get me my father!" The servants pulled her collar, they were ready to undress her as commanded by the imperial bodies.
Reina was looking around back and forth, Hoping someone comes to save her.
"You can't play smart without me Empress Reina." Tsmugi took a step forward at Reina rubbing her fingers.
"This is not fair Tsmugi, are you disgracing her majesty?" Reina said with a teary and shaky voice.
It did not take the servants more than one minute to seize her Royal robe. Reina ran her hands through her hair, she clenched her fists and teeth at Tsmugi. Right from the beginning Reina saw Tsmugi as a threat to her marriage and the Regent's clan.
She was more frightened the moment she saw her as the Emperor's court lady, she serves as a protection to the Emperor, she must be so smart to uave expose the truth.
"Get me my father! Get me My father!" The palace maids grabbed Reina's arm.
Suddenly the dowager slapped her."shut up!"
She lost her balance and fell, she tried pulling a maids skirt to rise up. The maids weren't merciful dealing with Reina, harshly and disrespectfully they lead her out of the room.
Tsmugi nodded at the dowager, they gave themselves an assuring smile. Princess Sakura did not spend up to twenty four hours in the ice Palace before her brother bailed her.
Outside the ice Palace, her Court lady Iyu and her enuch adil and other people maids assembled outside in the left and right waiting for princess Sakura.
"Your imperial highness, the curse has been broken. Now you' are Free, order form Emperor Daisuke." Her enuch approached her with his head almost touching his knees.
"Oh my goodness! I am so lucky to have been released earlier than I taught." Sakura placed her right hand on her chest as a sign of relieve.
Halfway on the bridge above the fish lake, General Kenji encountered Governor Eren. Despite his hatred and anger at him for the moment, he has no choice than to bow to the Governor Eren.
"Have you realized your stupidity, brother Kenji. You are the eldest son but so useless you can't do anything without your father's command or protection." Eren hit his hands on Kenji's shoulders.
"Brother, I will surprise you. I am the most brave out of the Regent's children."
"What so ever my baby brother, no matter how old you are. It still doesn't change the fact that you my baby brother. But just remember one thing, Reina is a bastard and she will surely give birth to a bastard, trust me brother." He winked at Kenji dusting his shoulders.
General Kenji was shocked hearing the secrets of Reina's identity. He turned his back looking at Eren and saw Reina glancing at him like an helpless child From afar.
"Brother! Our secret has been leaked. How can you help me get out of these mess?"
"No worries Reina, your father and I will try all we can do in our memories to get you out of this mess." General Kenji assured Reina placing her Head on his chest.
Empress Dowager was anxious and eager about getting Sakura back, the only stable child she has. She reached the Eastern gate where the ice Palace and inner court are located. She seem not to care about the degree of coldeness of that area.
She was amazed seeing her daughter standing outside waiting for her, the Dowager didn't hesitate she ran towards princess Sakura and hugged her.
