Minnie could tell something had changed within Aurora. Maybe she was starting to remember things about her past which meant she might look for revenge on this family. The time to reset things was happening earlier than planned. Minnie glanced at Aurora and wondered if that man had spoken to her. She was never a fan of dogs and the wolf was getting on her nerves.
Minnie had the wolf's bane placed around the house to keep him out and had even done something illegal in the kingdom. She paid a witch to place a spell around the house to keep any wolves on the outside. If he thought she was going to allow him to steal what belonged to her, he had another thing coming. As an extra precaution, she needed to hire a wolf hunter.
"We will talk about this rude behavior you are displaying later. This is not the way you respond to me especially when we have a guest in our presence. My apologies for what you had to witness," Minnie said regaining her composure. The way Aurora had spoken to her had caught Minnie off guard but now she was back to normal and was not going to tolerate disrespect.
Minnie had hoped Aurora would stay with them a little bit longer but since she was rebelling, she had no choice but to silence what she called her granddaughter.
"I have things my tutor asked me to touch upon. Should I also go to my room grandmother?" Questioned Regina referring to Minnie as a grandmother, something she truly disliked because it made her feel her age. "I would be more than happy to leave with Aurora if that is something you wish."
"Regina!" Rachel scolded her daughter. Why on earth would she leave when Seth was right here sitting down at their table? Though she would like it if Aurora did leave the table since she had captured Seth's attention.
Rachel could not deny Aurora was a beauty who could take the attention off of her daughter. Girls with Aurora's docile behavior always won over the majority of the men. Regina needed to open her eyes and see that she had to grab ahold of men like Seth as quickly as she could or she'll lose out on a perfect husband.
In Regina's opinion, Seth wanted to flirt or take interest in Aurora, why should she compete with her sister? It wasn't like she wanted the man anyway. If her mother was impressed by him why doesn't she divorce their father and marry Seth? He might be in for older women.
'What is with this family?' Seth thought to himself. Their family dynamic wasn't what he was expecting, not that he cared. He was only there to get his hands on Aurora. Imagine his surprise when he saw her the other day entering Madame Eloise's shop. She was so close within his grasps and did not have a clue about who he was.
"No need for an apology. I miss family dinners like this and you all make me remember the conversations and arguments I used to have with my siblings. I really hope Regina and Aurora can stay a while longer. I was hoping to talk with Regina more about the festival," Seth said playing the game. Now that he knew they wanted to hide Aurora from him, he decided to aim for the other sister who looked like she wanted to kill him. If he killed the entire family right now, he could take her away but she had always been a force to be reckoned with. The best plan was to keep watching her and wait for the moment she was alone to snatch her away.
Rachel's mood changed when he mentioned Regina's name. 'That's right.'
"I am going to my room. Enjoy the rest of your meals," Aurora said pushing her chair back then stood up to leave. The overwhelming sense of danger she was getting from Seth was too much and she needed to be away from him. She was glad Regina was not showing any interest in the man because he was not the right choice for her sister. "Goodnight," she bid goodbye.
"Is she jealous?" Rachel accidentally muttered out loud. Why else would Aurora make such a dramatic exit after telling Minnie she was going to stay? So miss innocent was not all that of a good person.
The real reason she left was that family dinners did not seem the same to Aurora tonight. She had wanted to leave around the time Minnie told her to retire to her room but she did want to do as Minnie said so she stayed. Walking the halls back to her room, she admired the moon that was drawing closer to becoming a full moon for the harvest moon festival which meant her meeting with the wolf was soon here.
There was a feeling of belonging while she looked at the moon. Almost as if someone else was out there looking up at the same sky waiting for her.
Leaving the Hamilton home, past the forest no one was supposed to enter, and far beyond the town stood a large castle near a cliff. On the inside of the castle was a man sitting down on a stone throne while others looked on for what he planned to do next.
"Is he going to sit here the entire night?"
"Looks like he's posing to me."
"Please shut up," a woman told the two blabbing fools. Right now their Alpha was thinking about something important. He needed peace and quiet.
"It's nearing time," the man began to say whilst opening his blue eyes with spots of gold. "To collect my precious flower from that hell hole."
Similar to a king, Vincent Lawerence was the alpha of his pack. The highest rank in the pack as he was the only one able to transform into what others called a beast under a full moon. The Hamiltons had taken something which did not belong to them and held her captive for too many years.
"Prepare a bag. We're going to the town. And get that leech away from her," Vincent growled.
