As Evangeline and Giselle talked about her pregnancy, treatment plan, and the road ahead, he made his way out of the bedchamber.
He mindlessly stumbled out of his room and into the dimly lit corridor. His brow furrowed in disbelief. Kane leaned his head back against the wall and gazed up at the intricate details of the ceiling.
He was still in shell shock over the unexpected development.
With all that he had just heard, Kane thought to himself that right now would be an ideal time to have a drink and a good cigar.
