Capítulo 10: Chapter 10 Uninvited Guests

Klaus' lips pressed against Emily's neck, soft and warm, as if whispering of an indescribable emotion. Then, he opened his mouth to reveal two sharp fangs, which gleamed in the moonlight.

However, at that moment, the silence of the night was shattered by the sudden roar of a car engine nearby. A blinding light fell on Emily's face, and her eyes were instantly stung by the intense glare, forcing her to close them involuntarily.

Klaus' body tensed in the sudden change. His fangs hovered over Emily's soft skin, and he remained frozen. He sensed the alteration in his surroundings.

Slowly, Klaus looked up, gently releasing Emily and pushing her away from him.

A speeding car skidded to a halt on the grass, and a man in a dark blue shirt with blond hair stepped out. His features were delicate and three-dimensional, as if intricately carved, and every line betrayed elegance and nobility. His eyes sparkled with intelligence, yet there was also a hint of cunning and depth. A smile played on his lips, making it impossible to discern his true intentions. Holding a bottle of champagne in his hand, the man gave Klaus a sarcastic smile.

"Hope I didn't miss your wedding, brother," the fair-haired man said, glancing quickly around and finally fixing his gaze on the bride.

"Is she the bride from the South?" The blonde man looked at Emily. "She looks like a bunny."

"Why are you here, Dyson?" Klaus's tone was cold as he blocked Dyson's view with his body.

"I heard you're having a traditional wedding here tonight, so I came." Dyson shook the champagne bottle in his hand and said, "Look, I brought you a bottle of champagne."

Once he had finished speaking, he didn't hesitate to pop the cork. With a loud pop, white bubbles erupted from the mouth of the champagne bottle, like jubilant melodies floating through the air. He then tilted the bottle, and the wine poured out in a silvery stream.

Those white bubbles floated in the air like a troupe of mischievous fairies, sparkling in the moonlight. They hovered for a moment and then slowly descended, landing gently on the flames of several candles. The candles flickered dimly, illuminating their surroundings, but they were extinguished beneath the blanket of white bubbles.

Emily watched the man celebrating alone as if it were his own wedding.

"I didn't invite you," Klaus's tone was filled with anger. "Who told you the news?"

"As you said, the entire royal capital knows you're getting married." Dyson tossed the empty champagne bottle to the floor. He drew a white handkerchief from his trouser pocket and wiped his hands. He said slowly, "It's just that I got the news a step faster than anyone else."

"How dare you spy on me?"

"Let's not talk about such boring things." Dyson tucked the handkerchief into his pocket. "So, where's the wedding now?"

"Leave." Klaus clenched his fists subconsciously.

"I'm afraid I can't," Dyson leaned deliberately into Klaus' ear and whispered, "If you don't complete all the rituals of the wedding, it's considered invalid."

"Who told you I didn't complete the ritual?"

"Really?" Dyson smirked slyly as he glanced at Emily. "Why is the bride still wearing her wedding dress?"

Dyson's gaze made Emily feel uneasy. His eyes seemed to hide some ulterior motive, which was inscrutable. The gaze made Emily feel scrutinized and judged, as if she were in strange and dangerous surroundings. Even though Dyson looked like a gentleman in his finery, Emily sensed his hypocrisy. His mannerisms and speech seemed too calculated, lacking sincerity and naturalness.

Emily's instinct told her that the presence of this man might not bode well. A feeling of uneasiness rose within her, as if something were about to happen.

"What do you mean?" Klaus asked.

"You won't forget, will you?" Dyson pretended to be surprised. "According to the requirements of traditional weddings, the groom and the bride must consummate the marriage in the presence of the witnesses."

What? Copulation? Emily's eyes widened.

Klaus was silent for a moment and then said, "Of course I do."

"So what are you waiting for?" There was a hint of ill-will in Dyson's words. There was a cunning and calculating look in his eyes, as if he had read the other's thoughts.

"Let's do it."

Just then, while no one was looking, Marx quietly moved his body back and soon disappeared into the darkness. Dyson, whose attention was focused solely on Klaus, did not notice that one man was missing. Only Klaus noticed his beta was gone.

"I remember you were on duty tonight." Klaus reminded Dyson, "Aren't you supposed to be patrolling the royal capital right now?"

"The kings are safe." Dyson confidently said, "Besides, even if I'm on duty tonight, it won't affect me being here to witness your wedding."

"Don't you want to get your pack back as soon as possible?" Dyson said in a challenging tone, "So what are you waiting for?"

"I have the right to refuse you attending my wedding ceremony." Klaus said contemptuously, "Because you don't deserve it."

"Take it easy, brother." Dyson patted Klaus on the shoulder, "I know you hate me. But I'm representing the royal family now."

"Full of nonsense."

"I have the king's word." Dyson's eyes lit up with a sharp and sinister light, "If you don't believe me, you can call the king yourself."

"I'll verify your words." Klaus pulled out his cell phone and dialed the royal office's dedicated line.

After a brief conversation, Klaus was informed that his wedding had to take place in the presence of a royal representative. The job had originally been assigned to Meiss, but he had been unable to attend the ceremony for other reasons, so the duty had fallen to Dyson.

Klaus knew that Dyson must have manipulated the situation somehow, and that if he refused to perform the ceremony, Dyson would have reported to the royal family that the marriage was invalid.

So, for the sake of his pack, he had to complete the mating with the bride under Dyson's watchful eye.

Klaus turned to face Emily, and he said to her in a commanding tone, "Lie down."
