Capítulo 38: Chapter 38
Malik shook his head trying to get those memories out. He looked around and noticed he was on the beach, "Dammit" , he mumbled. He stood up and started walking toward the castle, he has to tell King Titus what Marius just told him. He still didn't completly trust Lucis, but he also know he wouldn't come to him unless it's necessary. He reached the castle and went straight to the ballroom. "It seems more guest have arrived", he thought. He scanned the room and found King Titus talking to Lord Cletus over in the corner. He quickly walked over and bowed, "King Titus, I have some important message to tell you. Tristan and Lord Cletus should be present as well".King Titus looked at Malik and nodded, " Ok we can leave the young to enjoy themselves". He turned to Dez, who was standing next to Alora, " Dez, tell Max to go get Tristan and return here. You stay here too and make sure there is no trouble". Dez nodded at him but secretly was excited that he didn't have to accompany him, he could stay here with Alora. He walked over to Max and whispered in his ear and in an instant Max kissed Soshas hand and left. King Titus, Malik and Lord Cletus left the ballroom and went into the study, while leaving the young to enjoy themselves. There were many young people from all over that came to celebrate Aloras birthday, let them enjoy. Once they all reached the study, Malik poured everyone a drink and started to have small talk while waiting for Tristan to arrive.
Aloras P.O.V
When I was standing next to Dez, I noticed how he would cut his eye to me and smirk. Finally he finally said something to me when grandfather was talking and distracted. " I was beginning to get lonely over here by myself, what took you so long?" I just smiled because I knew he was back to his old self. " I didn't know you were so lonely, you had Marina and my grandfather to talk to. Plus I'm sure you wouldn't mind if I caught up with a few of my friends". He turned to face me and smirked, " I thought I was your friend too, but I have to wait and be the last person you see". He moved my hair off my face and kissed my cheek and quickly moved back into his original position. I instantly started to blush, I could feel the heat rising in my face; Just one kiss from him made me lose all my senses. Just as I calmed myself and was about to respond to him, Malik came rushing over and said something to my grandfather. Grandfather whispered to Dez and Dez nodded excitedly then walked over to Max and Sorsha who were still talking to Suri and Lee. Max kissed Sorshas hand and walked out of the room at a very fast pace. I guess I had a complexed look on my face when my grandfather walked up to me, " The elders will retire and let you guys have some fun. Happy Birthday my dear", as he smiled. He then looked around the room and began to walk out with Lord Cletus and Malik following. Dez walked back over to me smiling and grabbed my waist and twirled me around, " I finally get to celebrate with you the way I want to". I started to blush when I realized that I was wrapped up in his embrace. I knew that everyone's eyes were on us but I didn't care, I just wanted to be close to him. He stood me up as Sorsha and Max started to make their way over to us. " You seem to be in a better mood Dez, I cant believe youre showing public affection", Max said in a teasley tone. "It's not nothing wrong with it as long as I display it towards my Other Half", Dez said as he cut his eyes to Suri and Lee who were walking toward us. "Were going to get ready to leave, it's getting late", Suri smiled. "It's too late Suri, Im sure father wouldn't mind if Lee and you stayed the night", as Sorsha chimed in. I know that was a bad idea, especially with Lee here, Dez can't stand him. Before I could object Dez opened his mouth, " That is a good idea Sorsha, if they stay here we wouldn't have to find them later". Suri smiled and looked at Lee, " Looks like it's decided, we're staying for the night". Lee nodded then walked away, I wonder what's bothering him. After everyone started to disperse Dez grabbed me by my waist and began to walk me to the door. He then turned to Max, " I'm about to walk Alora to her chamber, meet me back in the study when you're done". Max smiled and grabbed Sorshas hand and walked away, while everyone was being escorted to their rooms. They didn't have to spend the night, I really don't want to be bothered with them, but I guess grandfather has his reasons.
Marius dropped Fleur off at her cottage and closed his eyes in relief, "The job is done, it's up to Malik now", he thought. The carriage came to the Castle and he felt a strange aura coming from it. Once the carriage reached the castle and he got out, there was a servant waiting for him, " Sir Marius, King Morton requested your presence in his library". Marius sighed as he started walking to the library he just wanted to tell Lucis what happened and go to bed. When he reached the library and walked in he saw Lucis, His father, Jack and a couple of guards in there. He looked around trying to read everyone's mind but the only ones who knew what was going on was Jack and his father and they had their minds blocked. "No need to try to read our minds, I'll tell you why you're here", King Morton said as he started walking toward Marius. " Where have you been Marius? I have been looking for you for hours now". "I went out for a drink and a girl, is there a problem with that?", Marius said with a straight face. Marius instantly felt something was wrong, he heard in his head to calm down, his father doesn't know about their plan. That's when he knew that was Lucis trying to calm him down. "Father what is it that you really want? I'm tired and sleepy, I'm ready to go to bed". "Come have a seat son, why are you always in a rush?", King Morton said as he motioned for Marius to come next to him. Marius looked around the room and noticed that Jack had a little smirk on his face, dammit he has something to do with this, Marius thought. Marius was right, Jack did have something to do with it, he wanted to catch Lucis slipping but caught Marius instead. It didn't matter to him as long as he gained the trust of King Morton, it would be worth it. Marius went and waited on his father to sit and sat right next to him, " Now tell me about this girl you saw tonight", King Morton said as he poured Marius and him a glass of brandy. "Shes just a whore I fancy at the pub, Shes a good fuck, Ive seen her a couple of times but its nothing serious", as Marius said while he took a shot of brandy. King Morton was a very impatient person and he really didn't want to beat around the bush with Marius, King Morton signaled one of the guards and he immediately walked out the library with a fast pace. Lucis had a worried look on his face and Jack was standing there smiling from ear to ear. "Marius, I'm not going to play this game with you. You know for a fucking fact that I cant stand when feelings become involved, especially outside of the vampire race". At that moment the guard came back with Fleur, who looked so scared. It looked like they took her as soon as she got back to the cottage, she still had her dress and jewelry on. "Father! Why is she here? What are you going to do with her?!", Marius yelled. King Morton stood up smiling, " Why Marius, why do you get upset because I have your whore here. If she's as good as you say, maybe I want to try her out", as he moved closer to Fleur. Marius suddenly jumped up and moved toward Fleur, " Father, you have so many women to entertain you, why do you want to mess with what's mine", Marius said as he rushed over to them. The guard and Jack moved closer to them watching Marius carefully. King Morton moved so close to Fleur that the hairs on the back of her neck began to stand up, she knew she was in trouble. He began to rub her shoulders smiling while looking at Marius, " If i didn't know better Marius, I could swear you have feelings for this fairey whore", as he began to sniff her hair. Fleur was startled, little beads of sweat began to form on her skin. Lucis knew exactly what King Morton was doing to Marius, he was yelling in his head to Marius to stay calm, he hoped he listened. Marius heard Lucis but his heart was yelling for him to protect Fleur. Marius' heart was about to beat out of his chest and his father heard it, Marius calmed himself but not quick enough. "Father, I'm quite fond of her, she's a quick learner, it's a shame if I had to replace her". King Morton laughed, "Marius do you think Im fucking stupid? I know you've been secretly seeing her!" He turned Fleur to face him and grabbed her chin. Marius tried to run over to her, but the guard and Jack held him back, close enough to see, too far for him to reach. A green mist started to form around King Morton's hand, Fleur was shaking in her shoes, she looked at King Morton and his eyes were glowing. Marius instantly tried to break loose but the second guard came to help hold him back. He was screaming and cursing at his father, but his father didn't really care about anything but power. Marius felt like all hope was gone, his father was going to kill her and there was nothing he could do. Just as he was defeated, Lucis spoke up, " Your Majesty, isn't it best if you just keep her in the cells? We don't need Mariius having a vendetta against you when you are so close?" Fleur started to scream as the mist started to melt the left side of her face. The mist suddenly stopped and energy started to form around his hand. He started to drain Fleur of her energy, Marius really started freaking out, in his rage he broke loose, hit Jack and one of the guards and ran toward his father and Fleur. Lucis ran over and stopped him, hoping he was reading his mind. Fleurs body fell to the floor, " You're right Lucis, I don't need this fucker to throw a tantrum and ruin my plans. Take her to the cells and dont no one, I mean no one heal her fucking face!" He turned and looked at Marius with disgust and hatred in his eyes, " I never thought my own son would love something so weak and pathetic! When Im done with my plans, I still will fucking kill her right in front of you! Now everyone get the fuck out of here!" Jack looked around shocked, he really thought King Morton would kill that fairey. He walked out disappointed but hid it on his face. Everyone left out except Lucis, He knew King Morton would want to talk to him. Marius left out as if his heart was ripped out of his chest, this was the last fucking straw, he thought.
