"Um," I glanced nervously in Mistress Lorelai's direction, and her face told me she wasn't satisfied with my answer. "There's also something about energy signatures…"
Vargr, I couldn't quite recall this last bit.
"You and I were saturated by the cursed energy permeating Castle Vlad. Its energy signature as realmsverse scholars call it," Liara supplied. "This attunes us to the dungeon sort of how we're in the same frequency with it, and that's what will allow us to climb back into Castle Vlad through the hole we helped make."
I didn't like how Liara just admitted that we did cause the property damage, but I was more impressed with how a chance to show off her intellect was enough to relieve Liara of her hunger pains. At least temporarily.

GD_Cruz People have commented that there's been a lot of ADVENTURE but not enough ACADEMY in this 3rd volume. Well, I have this formula where half the volume happens in the Academy and the other half is an adventure. In this third volume, I flipped that so that the adventure started first then the academy arc starts next. That begins next chapter! Woohoo!
