Earl came back home early today, a bouquet of red roses in his hands. He was wearing a slight smile on his face. He had planned a romantic dinner with her. He entered the nursery in a good mood. When he didn't find the babies, his smile vanished in an instant.
"Where are they?" He murmured with astonishment, a frown flaring up on his face. He came out of the room and went to the kitchen to find the maid, who was preparing dinner.
"Where are Natasha and the babies?" he asked.
"Madam has gone to her father's place," replied the maid. "She has been facing difficulties managing the babies and barely gets any sleep. She wants to be with her mother."
"What?" Earl's heart dropped to the ground as he assumed Natasha wouldn't return to him. When she didn't say anything last night, he thought she had understood him. In reality, she was still angry with him.
