Ilyan had meekly nodded, finding himself unusually at a loss of words.  His struggle to return her smile was as real as it could have been. She waved at him before making her way inside the cab waiting for her.

As she sat inside and locked the door, her gaze involuntarily traveled to him and as she caught his eyes that still had not left her sight, she could not help wave her hand at him again. 

Getting his hand out of the window, his palm rose in the air but his fingers ended up freezing as if refusing to bid her goodbye. 

Irene tore her gaze from him, asking the driver to move and as Ilyan watched her fade from his sight, a piece of his heart jumped out and followed her route like a religious disciple.
