[Margaret's perspective]
Lillian seemed quite dissatisfied with Henry's remarks at the time, snorting with sarcasm as she added, "Hmph! Her? Margaret, perfect? Henry, you really are funny!"
As Lillian spoke, she loosened her grip on the pistol, her eyes and brows full of impatience.
I watched her interaction with Henry, and all my suspicions were powerfully confirmed—they had indeed been in contact before!
And today's events were very likely orchestrated by Henry behind the scenes for Lillian, as to the ultimate goal of Prince Henry, I still couldn't guess at the moment.
If I could figure out and understand these things, Donald naturally wouldn't have missed them. He had been silent since earlier, and I knew he needed time to accept the situation at hand, his cousin—Henry, was not as friendly and guileless as he had previously seemed!
"Shut your mouth, idiot!"
A harsh rebuke snapped me back from my wandering thoughts, and I focused my gaze on Henry and Lillian across from me.
