Capítulo 4: The New path for the Last Zoldycks

Karma wakes up to a cool morning breeze blowing through an open window. He sits up to see that he is alone in a spacious room with several more beds. It looked to be an infirmary of some kind. Even still, he had no idea where this was. Outside he saw a sizeable estate surrounded by nothing but forestry. "Where am I?" He asked himself, getting out of bed.
"We're somewhere called the Butterfly house," Nagisa answered.
"Nagi-" Karma didn't notice his younger brother sitting in a chair beside his bed. Startled he rolled away and hit the floor hard. "Owww, my whole body is still sore."
"Sorry about that," Nagisa laughs helping Karma up.
"Get me up to speed Nagi, what happened to us?" Karma asks sitting on the bed. "How are we alive?"
"Well almost as soon as you passed out, they showed up," Nagisa starts.
"Who?"
"The demon slayer corps. A team of several dozen swordsmen showed up and fought off the demons who attacked the house. One of the leaders of the group of demon slayers was a man named Tengen Uzui, they called him the Sound Hashira. He appeared just in time to stop Gakushu from killing me. Then Mr. Uzui was able to fight him until several more Hashira showed up and tipped the fight in their advantage. Before they could kill Gakushu another demon appeared from nowhere and created a strong wind that blew all of the demon slayers away. Gakushu fled into the night, and they have had no luck finding him since…I doubt the demon slayers would be able to track him if he didn't want to be found, Gakushu is still a Zoldyck. In the end you and I were taken here to recover, apparently this Butterfly House a place in a hidden location where injured demon slayers are taken to heal up." Nagisa said summing up the event.
Karma took a second to process this information. "What of our saviors, these Hashira? Where can I find them?"
"They did wait for you to wake up I think they wanted to meet you, but after a few days they had missions to take so they left. Mr. Uzui said something along the lines of 'You have some nerve for making me wait so long! A weak peon like you has no right to sleep so long.'" Nagisa repeated, mimicking the flashiest Hashira's voice.
Karma's eye twitched a bit hearing that. "I'm liking him a little less now. Still, I owe him thanks for saving your life…" he trailed off. "But wait how long did you say I slept?"
"Umm today makes two weeks." Nagisa said timidly.
"Two weeks? Damn!" Seething with anger Karma slammed his fist down on the bed, so hard he smashed its frame to pieces. "I've been asleep for two weeks!? All the while Gakushu has surely been advancing! I've got to hurry and-"
"H-HEY! Stop destroying the furniture!" A teenaged girl wearing a demon slayer uniform under a white apron entered the room with fresh bandages. Butterfly clips held her hair into short pigtails, which were very cute coupled with the fiery look she wore on her face. She was a little taken aback by the sudden display of aggression, but she didn't let it stop her from speaking her mind. "You have some nerve smashing someone else's stuff, someone who saved your life I might add."
"Sorry about that, pigtails." Karma said getting off the destroyed bed.
"Don't call me pigtails, you ingrate. My name is Kanzaki Aoi," the girl immediately corrected Karma. "Now take a seat so I can change your bandages."

"I don't think Miss Kanzaki likes you very much," Nagisa says to Karma after his bandages were changed. After a brief check-up, Karma was proven to be mostly healed despite having incurred multiple broken bones.
"No kidding. I'm pretty sure she tried to strangle me with these bandages," Karma said fidgeting with the ones wrapped around his neck. "Speaking of trying to kill me, we can't just sit around waiting for Gakushu to appear again. We have some training to get to as well."
"About that, I've been training while you were asleep." Nagisa said. "You remember I said this place is for demon slayers to recover?"
"Yea? What about it?"
"The owner of this house is a woman known as the insect Hashira, Kocho Shinobu. She's a really nice lady but, I don't know something about her scares me a bit hahaha…Anyways. She has been kind enough to give me some pointers on demon slaying while you were asleep. There's a technique they use called total concentration breathing that can help us increase our own abilities, though there are plenty of variations in the forms used by the different demon slayers."
"I think I've heard something about breathing from pops before…it will definitely be useful down the line. So, you breath like an insect now?" Karma joked.
"Very funny, it's just the name of their style, but no." Nagisa said not humoring Karma's attempt at comedy. "She only showed me the basics of total concentration breathing, only her disciples can learn insect breathing. Maybe she can show you as well."
"I want to get moving as soon as possible, but you may be right." Karma said weighing his options. It might be better to stay here, rest up and get a grasp on breathing. He had no problem accepting a teacher so he could learn more than just the basics, but insect breathing might not be for him. Will that help him surpass Gakushu?
"Already planning to leave?"
"Miss Kocho, hello." Nagisa greeted the woman approaching them. A petite woman sporting the demon slayer uniform under a white haori, the sleeves of which resembled pink butterfly wings. Her black hair with purple endings was tied back into a bun with loose strands framing her face.
"Hello Nagisa and Karma," she said with a friendly smile. "It's good to see you're able to move around, but I think you should take a little more time to recover before you leave. I'd like to start your rehabilitation process."
"Thanks, but I'm back in top form. There's no need for me to rest any longer. I'm ready to start some much-needed training," Karma said stretching and trying to put on a cool face. "I'll be sure to- GAH! That hurts!" Shinobu jabbed him in in the gut where he'd been hit hardest by Gakushu, and it hurt like hell.
"You're very resilient to be up and about after the damage you took, I believe most adults would have been crippled for life. However, it is clear that you are far from peak condition, so it would be in your best interests to take it slow for now. No need to rush off into an early grave."
"Y-you have a point." Karma squeezed out.
"I'm glad you see it my way," Shinobu smiled kneeling beside him. "Besides my friends have all gathered to meet you two."
"Your friends?" Nagisa asked.
"Yes, the other Hashira have all returned." She turned to lead the way, "you did want to meet them, didn't you?"
